I don't think it will be hard to get. Higher cost and a larger sized knife will dampen popularity.

Hmmm, love S90V, dislike huge knives, dislike the concept of carrying knives for SD, still strangely drawn to this...

they're mighty fine utility knives. that's what I've used the Yojimbo 1, Ronin 2 and Yojumbo for :cheap-sunglasses

On one hand I believe, you, on the other hand I've never found myself needing more blade than my Para 3 has. This would absolutely just be a "scratch the itch" purchase for me :grin-sweat

Ugh. This might be the knife that will make me break my "no more Sprints" rule. The Yojumbo worked its way into my work knife rotation late last year, and it's become a favourite alongside the regular Yojimbo 2.

The Yojumbo has 50% more edge length than the Para 3, (all other factors being equal) Edge Holding is directly proportional to Edge Length so you'll be cutting 50% more material between sharpenings with a Yojumbo.
Not a big deal for some people but at least it is a logical benefit for anyone to maximize the amount of cutting edge.

Now if only we could get a 5" YoMega/YoMaximum.

Just found this matching YoJimbo2 and thus the plot thickens and the wallet thinners...

This is only true assuming that you're cutting evenly with the entire blade which I just doubt. Also I would guess blades with more belly tend to use more of the blade because of the way the blade naturally curves as it moves through the material.

The process may have changed, but...
This one's a Sprint Run... Collectors Club and an initial handful of the Sprint are shipped to each of the Premier dealers. Followed by larger shipments to all the dealers that get Sprints. Sometimes dealers will hang onto their initial handful until their larger order arrives.
So... maybe we'll see them initially pop up mid to late next week.
Spyderco.com is the wildcard. Could be sooner, could be later. We learned that the Stovepipe was shipping last Monday and Spyderco.com put them up for sale on Wednesday.

Surprised this new Sprint has not been posted in the Spyderco App!
