Aloha All,

Thanks everyone for keeping this post alive. Your support is greatly appreciated, and has helped ease the pain of the spank form "Poppa Spyder"...LOL!

Yes Speeder,(welcome BTW!) you are absolutley correct in that if it is the will of God, it shall be done. If not, then, that means there's something greater in store! I am just confident in John 16:23...Thank you and a big mahalo for your prayers.

And Kali, Thank you also. GREAT choice and glad i was able to help. Remember, practice. Even if it's just "shadow striking" it'll allow your NATURAL response( which is your FASTEST response BTW) to shine through as you envision an "attack" and what your response would be, assuming it has gone beyond the verbal stage, or that you were even aware of it to begin with! Be creative, but keep it simple and "real".BTW- A side benefit is that this really keeps one in great shape! When I was a competitive bodybuilder we had a saying in that, "The body will not go where the mind has not gone first." this I found out applied to my kendo training as well. Samurais did this, and the greatest Samurai, Miyamoto Musashi advocated this form of mental training.

Thanks again everyone, and kali, everyone here is "for real"...Thank God!

Stuff luke this makes me love Spyderco even more. The fact that someone can submit a knife to ANY knif company and have it considered is just awesome. Spyderco goes the extra step and actually makes a prototype, takes it to shows and seeks public opinion. I feel an interesting saga unfolding. Best of luck Daywalker, I really hope this works out for you, & I can't wait to catch a glimpse of it.

Aloha and a big mahalo to ya Pyrochazm!

Yes, it is an unreal experience! I chose Spyderco not only because i have been a long time ELU of their knives, but because of their "code of ethics" and genuine ability to listen to us ELU's!

Let me tell you though, it is NO EASY feat to design a Spyder due to their trademark Round Hole. Either it "turns out" or it doesn't. This is where I give props to Mr. JHONES and Sal for making this Round hole "work". It definitely changed my knife life! I have learned much from Peter and am blessed to have him working on my Concept Model, also to Sal, for having faith in it!

I admired the fact that my friend "Mr. Speedsafe" actually followed his dream and made it a reality. Just making "knives" out of plastic is tough enough, let alone real steel! But he better stay on his toes...There may be a new breed of Spyder coming out that doesn't eat other Bugs. It eats "Onions!" LOL! (Kidding Ken!)

Anyway, mahalo again Pyrochazm. Thanks for keeping this post alive! (Sorry Jurphaas...)

Wassup bruddah Chad!

I am a friend and co-worker of DAYWALKER. I have seen his designs for this company from the BEGINNING. He brings his drawings to work and exitedly shares his newest designs or an improvement of some kind. He has showed us some of his plastic knives. They are scaled to the ones he draws. I honestly don't know much about knives, but I do know if I like one when I hold one. These plastic models of his are comfortable and versatile. Chad is a character in that he'll show us a cutting demonstration with all his knifes holding options, then he'll go right into a knife fight move! He is FAST!!! Then he'll let us give his plastic models a try. He is a perfectionist, and one good guy to work with. He trains some staff with weights and fighting arts. He is fast and accurate, the inmates think he's Bruce Lee! I'm glad I'm his FRIEND!

I am in full support of his knife being made. After he showed me Spyderco's knife catalog and after handling his design for them, there is no way they can't make it!

Chad man, it's going to happen bruddah! No fo'get us, ah?

Just a reminder: Breakfast Club Song performed by Simple Minds:

"Don't you...Forget about me!"

The BLADE is right around the corner...I have not yet received confirmation if my SS Proto will be present as I am sure that Mr. JHONES has his hands full preping for the show.

Please remember: Spyderco Booth,Daywalker, and Breakfast Club Song!

I pray for you bro. Hopefully, your knife will be at the Blade show
OTOH, did you receive my last mail? It had a pretty large file (about 800 Kb) attached and I was wondering if it made up to you.
