Maybe we can get Mr. Jazz to get a picture of a HAP 40 knife next to an Orange Peel burning. :)

Awesome news! Thanks, Sal!

I've yet to pick up a FFG Delica, so this will be the perfect excuse to fill that void in my collection.

Sounds like a really cool knife and will probably be my first Endura :D

Any chance these will have a pointy tip?

Have you ever squeezed an orange peel over a flame? Try it. :D

Nope. I don't know all the details, but I think if you slice an orange peel right, it will light on fire.

Hopefully that doesn't happen to the knife handles. :)

If you have an open fireplace in your house then try throwing some orange peels in, gives your house a nice aroma :)

This thread is slowly going to morph into Internet wide myth that if ground juuuust right, HAP40 will cook oranges as you slice them. But slice too fast and you'll overcook and burn them.

...you know, I think I remember my neighbor saying he heard his brother had found an old microfiche article and read about this lady who...

...and that's how Musashi defeated Baiken after he attained a blade forged out of citrus coals only found on a small island near a 40 acre Health Alliance Plan...

You guys really going to force me to buy an orange knife? That's cruel.

Sal, cook that steel up really good for us please. Don't leave out any of that potential that is so apparent in this steel. It could be another legendary run that makes consumers crazy so make it good.

I've always thought you loose some of the ability to finely tune the heat treat and temper when clad but it can be pretty good as the ZDP clad models showed. The clad Super Blue didn't turn out as bad as I thought either.

Just don't clad my Mastiffwear please. Or make them Orange. :) I'd rather see it retire gracefully leaving fond memories.

Burnt orange isn't a color I would have thought of, but actually, I can't think of a better option! It will be so much better than just another gray. If the color is too bright for some people, you always have the option to dye it black or do a scale swap.

Very excited for these sprints. Depending on timing, I will need an Endura, Delica, and maybe a Stretch. Depending on price, I may need a backup Endura. :D

Really really excited to see the color on this. My original two Delica 4s are the Gray and the Orange (which lives in my range bag), so it seems fitting that my two steel sprints are blue/gray and burnt orange. Obviously gray is neutral, and thus more agreeable, but I like that Spyderco isn't afraid of some bolder colors as well, especially in these niche sprints.

Dare I ask what the timeline might be in these? I am assuming in the second half of the year if Golden got frn samples for color not long ago. Or is there risk these would push into '16?

Have they specified that it will be the delica and endura only or are the stretch dragonfly ladybug and manbug getting the treatment also?
