Thanks for the pics spyharpy, that actually looks great. I played around with deploying the knife with a little lower ride last night and didnt have any issues. I think im going to go ahead and order 3 of the sage clips. I carry the pkal on duty and the lower ride coupled with the black clip will ...

It would be a dream come true if spyderco produced something similar. I own 5 P'kal folders as of right now and most assuredly would purchase at least 2 of these. I carry a pkal every day on duty but Im constantly wishing I had a fixed blade version. Unfortunately the shivworks disciple is hard to ...

I got my replacement from amazon today in the mail. The problem area identified on the last knife looks much better on this one. However i did notice a couple of other things. First, it appears that the caged ball bearing lock has in fact been adjusted since i last purchased one. The ball bearing ...

No worries guys, i appreciate the responses. The issue is purely cosmetic and doesnt affect function at all. Everything else looks great and as i said before, i may keep the knife anyway. Im more curious about some things ive noticed on the knife that differ from my other pkals. The lockup and edge ...

Spyderco CS was no help whatsoever. I wrote them a lengthy email that included pictures, descriptions and questions. All I got in return was the standard, "send us your knife with $5" response. Pretty dissapointing to be honest, but I know they get alot of inquiries. Hopefully Sal, Eric, or Ed will ...

Oh its going back all right. Im far too anal about my knives to put up with even a small defect....especially on a self defense blade. Its not the only thing im questioning on this particular blade either. The edge isnt what you would normally expect from spyderco and the geometry of the blade stock ...

I payed $159 for it and it was advertised as new in box. Amazon said nothing about factory seconds and I've ordered 3 others from them without any problems. It obviously shouldn't affect function, but I dont like it regardless. Maybe sal or eric could shed some light? The angle on the edge looks ...

imperfections(updated)
I was excited to receive my fourth p'kal in the mail today. It was ordered New in box from Amazon and as soon as I got it I gave it a good coat of remoil to prepare it for storage(in the box in zip-loc bags). But when I was oiling the knife I noticed that there was a divot in the bottom of the blade ...

I figured I would chime in and give a police officers perspective. I carry two blades all the time. One is a p'kal carried on my "weak side" opposite my firearm and the other a manix 2, with a lanyard, clipped to my inner belt at my centerline.
The p'kal is used ONLY for SD purposes. It goes with ...

I used to feel the same way about the p'kal......because I didn't understand it. Now I own 3 of them and one of the trainers. IMO its one of the best, most cutting edge designs I've seen from ANY manufacturer of sharp pointy things. I don't think anyone who truly understand the p'kal and how to use ...
