It's been a long time since I bought a new Spyderco, but this one is amazing. Fit and finish are top-notch; blade is scary sharp (waiting for the first bite), handle is grippy and a neat color.

Two product guides in the box - one discusses the Dragonfly, the other ZDP steel. Talk about icing on the ...

I have the same problem on mine; HOWEVER, it is not a new problem.

3 or so years ago, I noticed the same problem in my first FRN Calypso, Jr. In a post on this, Sal stated it had something to do with the heat treat process and was not a defect.

I don't have a problem with it as I plan on using ...

Thanks, Sal. Guess I'll go ahead and order one. James Mattis (of blessed memory) always praised Eduard Bradichansky's designs, so I know this will be a good knife to have. Besides, it's a Spyderco!

Hard choice, but I guess that's why you asked.

I'd have to go with the Calypso, Jr. In the lightweight version it is almost unnoticeable clipped to your pocket. Lightweight does not refer to the performance. The VG-10 steel together with the flat grind make for a really stay sharp blade.

One word, "Spyderco". I am NOT trying to suck up here. Quality is a neverending goal that can never be achieved. There is always something YOU think can be done better. Why I said "Spyderco" is just that determination to make great knives better - new designs, new steels, new materials, new methods ...

Must say that I love my Remote Release. Really neat blade shape that I haven't seen on any other Spydie.

The Remote Release was produced in both a Spydie Edge version as well as Plain, IIRC.

Serrated Endura. It has 11 siblings with another on the way.

It's a good, reasonably sized knife. The construction is very solid with an adustable pivot (which I have not tried out). It cuts deeply into little fingers if they are in the way when closing (another ouch - Spydie bite - I'm learning).

Good knife. I got mine at the WRKA knife show for just $42 ...

Wow. What a question. Price is definitely an aspect, but not frequently because Spyderco knives are affordable compared to other manufacturers.

Combo-edge if that is the only model a dealer has - I'd rather not.

Lately, the amount of handle above the clip. I like my knives the deeper in the pocket ...
