I am hoping the possible upcoming run of kitchen knives either have no hole, or a large enough hole to get a finger in for easy clean-up. I understand the reasoning, but it would be a grime-trap in the kitchen. That being said, I am looking forward to a set regardless.

I am so glad you posted this question. I moved to AR in Jul 06 from TX and I have not carried my larger folders because I thought th 3.5 in rule was still in effect. This is great news.

Me too - I just bought a Para instead of waiting for the Chokwe because I thought that rule was still in effect ...

Just tested my CC#d one. Assuming nothing changed on the later ones, the magnet's poles are the top and bottom surface of the bar. IF someone can find a source for 1/4" X 1/4" X 1/2" N52 Neodymium magnets with the poles at the ends, replacing it might at least be worth a try. I have never had mine ...

Wow - I'll bet that took guts. Limón is one of those wild port cities - I went to a carnival festival there when I studied there last year - picture "Tortuga" from Pirates of the Carribean but in the 21st century. It is a rough and tumble little place. I hope that this incident doesn't hurt tourism ...
