Re: Expand Golden, CO made offerings?

They are not going to pull knives from makers that are doing arguably some of the best production knives available after decades of working relationships. Spyderco's makers that have been doing good work keep those patterns as they evolve. Golden expanded capacity in the last decade and are probably...

I still couldn't find a knife of this model , why don't they make them , they are so beautiful
They made them years (decades) ago. I have a few and would love to see an update on the design.

Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - BREAKING NEWS

For those who have been to previous factory second sales; do the fixed blade knives come with sheaths and if so do the sheaths have some sort of defect as well. I am looking into buying a bow river at this sale and it will be my first Spyderco knife. :) I have it on good authority that this year al...

Re: Delica 4 tang notch changes

That cutout doesn't affect the close. The strength of the closing action is determined by the spring strength and the shape of the tang at the opposite end - where the lockbar is touching right before the blade is fully closed. Correct. Worth noting, if you switch blades, you should swap the lockba...

Re: Re-examining 9Cr18Mo as an option

Artisan's AR-RPM9 appears to be a PM version of 9Cr18MoV.

Per knife newsroom: The composition of AR-RPM9 is: 0.9% Carbon, 18% Chromium, 1.0% Molybdenum, 0.45% Manganese, 0.1% Vanadium, 0.30% Cobalt, 0.2-0.8% Silicon, less than 0.40% Nickle, and less than 0.05% Rare Earth.

Re: I am finally going to get that blue Dragonfly I've been after

Haven’t there been several blue DF2s? Super Blue, K390, TNP special DLC/S35VN, and the teal S30V... Super blue has a gray handle. I'm not sure the teal counts as blue. Yeah it was gray, I thought it was a light blue there for a minute. My bad. The Superblue run was almost an extremely light, earth ...

I honestly can't believe there's a thread about this, with this many responses. Do that many people have whimpy thumbs that this really creates an issue?? Come on guys...toughen up! This is one of the most nit picky threads I've ever seen. I bet Sal is shaking his head. Reminds me of my 9 year old ...

Re: Astute. The little big knife.

I found it to be very well made, but it felt like a knife made for a small hand. I wear XL gloves so it didn't translate well. I have it in the box and will probably end up gifting it.

Re: Is there a BYRD in your pocket??

The "Starling 2" is being discod's.. Sorry to heat that because it was a really nice piece, in my opinion, if you'll pardon the plug? The maker also did an exceptional job so it's really a lot of value to the dollar, thanx to the low Yuan. We probably won't make them again,at least anytime soon, so...

My first UKPK was/is a SE gin1 drop-point, and it remains one of my most used Spydies. They did stick around in U.K. retailers for quite a while after the steel & spring were superseded.
Is the metal and spring design not so good then?
Both were upgraded since introduction.

Re: Seki lockbacks vs. Golden lockbacks

I believe that the golden lockbacks have been a bit more refined. The lock bars are thicker and actuate a bit smoother IMO. They are a bit tidier in their tolerances it seems and I believe that is because Sal and Eric focus on those things. I love Seki lockbacks too and have a fair number of them. ...
