Re: Thank you Sal for the pink Delica

Just realizing the pink D4 seems to have a price hike that's well over what the teal s30v sprints cost... $122.50 satin and 133.00 for DLC. Are we looking at substantial 2021 pricing hikes? Might drop that from my wish list.

Re: Reveal 6 Live!

The Harbor Freight $60 1" belt sander would open up new legal options for you RamZar. I used one to give my Pacific Salt 2 a straight spine mod. Shortening the blade length wouldn't be very difficult with one! True but some police officers don’t measure the blade and just look up the blade length o...

Re: Reveal 6 Live!

Pattadese should've had a blade length of 2.99" not 3.16" to make it legal in more places. Pity since it's a handy folder and quite a slicer! Is the polestar different enough from the more popular tenacious?
It has a choil. That's a big difference for a lot of people.
What choil?
My bad, I was thinking Raven I guess. Polestar just has a bit more of a guard I suppose.

Re: Is it possible we're stretching spyderco a little thin...?

Look at reveal 6. There are a large number of knives in there that were requested by us on the forums. I'd say we're lucky they listen to our more realistic suggestions and I'd guess Spyderco appreciates constructive feedback and thinking.

Re: Deep carry clips

Concealment of the knife is not illegal in and of itself, but it can be taken as evidence that the person carrying the knife intends to do something unlawful with it. One can carry a concealed knife, but the burden is on the person carrying the concealed knife to prove that there is a justifiable r...

Re: Deep carry clips

The fact that the knife can be seen or not makes a difference in those jurisdictions where permission/prohibition to carry a knife is based on concealment (or not). Concealed means concealed. A clip running down out of your pocket is not "concealed." If your intent is to be hide the knife, wear a l...

Re: Slim or none?

Ah my mistake, I don't know why I was thinking the Astute was made in Seki. I probably will get the base model soon. And I know the numerous calls for an upgraded Tenacious have gone unanswered. That's why I figured an upgraded Astute would be highly unlikely, but it's still fun to consider. And in...

Re: Please Pardon the shameful sales pitch - Rock Jumper

Hi SteelCity, Jimping and the Boye dent are two features that some like and some don't. The Boye dent was a safety feature because the lock well was longer and some people could accidentally unlock the knife with the fleshy part of their hand. As we played around with the concept for years, I decid...

Re: Please Pardon the shameful sales pitch - Rock Jumper

I’m pretty sure this doesn’t have jimping on the hump of the blade, which makes this perfect for sliding knives with a larger hump in and out of your pocket! No jimping or dent is a big bummer IMO. I'm not gonna lie. I'm pretty bummed myself about the lack of jimping and the lack of a boye dent. Th...

It's pretty new and I would be shocked if there were counterfeits. Especially if you have a reputable dealer.
