Re: REX45 Para 3 Lightweight

Those that also have this model in G10 - which handle material do you prefer vs the LW? I greatly prefer the lightweight to the g-10. I find the g-10 a bit blocky and have to contour the edges. I also despise the factory clip, it hits me in a bad spot in use. I have to buy Lynch clips which adds $2...

Re: Why the byrd Harrier 2 Ltwt is a game changer

After having mine a few days, I decided the proud lockbar was bugging me and decided to fix it myself. A bit of sanding would remedy it if I could disassemble. Unfortunately, the lockbar screw is not moving, I stripped out the screw head despite cautious turning. I checked the other 3 body screws, 2...

Re: Spyderco Smock:Technical Showcase, Dud Knife

I snagged one for a fellow forumite at the SFO. I liked the button lock and the action, but couldn't see it being a knife I'd use, for most of the reasons just mentioned.

Re: Fake Delica?

Look at the description, it is a bunch of nonsense, then look at his feedback and responses he leaves for negative feedback. Images look like stock pics. He is selling below MAP, which is not allowed for legit dealers. Radar not going off yet? Does this look like an authorized dealer? Why would anyo...

I love the color, but I prefer the lightweight version, plus I recently ordered the blue/orange Rex model from CS, so I should pass on this.

Re: Does anyone make scales for the left handed pm2 that you can actually buy

Your're going to need to contact a custom maker, pretty sure that no one is making them as a stock item. Aftermarket scales are a niche market to begin with and a lefty model is even more niche.

I'd be in for one. Although, I actually have someone who is going to make me this exact Chap if they have the spare time.

Funny how I don’t like that size range, but the Endela just feels awesome, and it wants to cut. PE and SE. I like them both. Perfect weight too.
You need a Harrier 2. Trust me.

Re: Native 5 LW First Impressions

I've found the handles blocky and the pocket clip hits my hand in a way that creates a hot spot. I swapped an after market clip and sanded down the edges on my user. It's otherwise one of the best built lockback knives made. I'm hoping the native 6 gets some curves back.

Re: Why the byrd Harrier 2 Ltwt is a game changer

Last week, I received a byrd Harrier 2 lightweight in the mail. When I took the knife in hand, I was floored by the quality of it. I have other FRN byrds. I currently own a Cara Cara 2 and Meadowlark 2, and I've previously owned the first generation Robin, Meadowlark, and Cara Cara. The Harrier 2 l...

Should be smooth, I'd return it unless you have the tools to try loosening the pivot a touch.

Re: Manbug and the Starling 2

Necro bump, but wondering if anyone else has feedback on the Starling 2 in general or vs. the Spyderco keychain knives? The g10 scales and BD1 steel look attractive to me in a tiny knife, plus it has a nice blade shape. The g10 Jester has me wanting another LBK in g10. If there was a g10 Ladybug I'...

Thanks for weighing in Sal. After real effort, I do have my Rex 45 Para 3 on the way, I'll put a scratch or 2 on it for you.

Actually I agree that it is problem and this is great thread which provides some real world perspective. We're watching it closely. The Spyderco Forum is a microcosm of the real world? For real? :D And here I thought we were a bunch of fanboys who were in no way representative of the knife-buying p...
