I always thought that the chisel grind looked barbaric, but then after I was taught that it was a good grind for combat knives, I've taken a huge liking towards them.

Microscopically speaking... is a cut made by a chisel grind less even (because the edge is not centered) making a slightly nastier ...

I like the blade shape and it tucks in quite nicely in the closed position!
the hole for the pin is a nice back up idea!

The Yojimbo has always caught my eye for it's clever design.
I love how it looks more like a scalpel/crafts tool especially in the blue color.

While we are at it, I would like to see a folding knife version of the Kalista :D

Funny that you bring this up. I spent some training time with Bram during Blade Show weekend. The impact tools fit for airline duty work well.....for most. I could not hold onto it. My mits were too big. The Magnum.........LLC now that is what I am talking about! Magnum size for the large hand ...

Monster Pocket Sticks

Hello,
I know there are some people here that are into the Kubotan and Yawara stick type self-defense tools, so I hope you find my projects interesting.

your Top 5 fav. knives with a twist

the catch is, you can only mention 1 knife from 1 company.

example:

1) Spyderco - Police
2) CRKT - M16-SF
3) Ka-bar - TDI LE Knife
4) Boker - CLB Karambit
5) Coldsteel - Arc Angel

My wife and I watched horror films every night for the entire month. We both felt that the scariest, and probably the best made, was Kubrick's "The Shining."

I gotta agree, Stanley has a way of getting to your nerves...
even Full Metal Jacket, it's like a worm crawling on a razor's edge...

Question for tactical rifle lovers

I'm curious about modern day bayonet and it's variations

I have no idea what they are called,

I notice a lot of them have flashlights instead of knives.

I've seen a shotgun where the barrel has an impact bezel.

I've also seen an assault rifle where the triangle shaped site at the front is a ...

If the spine area can be gripped then jimping would be a minus,
but if it's only for the fingers then I add my vote :)

I can't say I'm a big fan of jimping on the linerlock release
