IIRC, this topic was brought up when the micarta Calypso Jrs were made. Mine was a PE and the box was marked with an experimental number instead of Calypso Jr (I may be wrong - this was several years ago). The off centered blade bothered me for a day or so but everything else about the knife was so ...

Nice review! I have one question and one comment re the Jester. First the question. How much heavier does the s/s version feel? In the spec it's 1.6 oz vs .6 oz but I'm more interested in the feel. The FRN is almost totally unnoticeable in my pocket. I'm wondering if the s/s is the same. I've always...

I've bought stuff from icetiger-blue before. I noticed she has 12 negatives now and there have been some questions on her whereabouts in the past but she has a history of being a good seller of hard to find in the US SAKs.

Get the knife that fits your hand best and has a legal size blade in your area. The Delica is great but I have large hands and no blade length restrictions so I carry an Endura. I like the FRN. I've used them hard and never had one break.

All of the stainless steel Spydercos are good knives, however, they are fairly heavy. If you really like the hawkbill blade, the Merlin is about 30% lighter.

I work with someone who ground the plastic clip off of a Spyderco. I think it is a Pro Grip. It took him about 10 minutes and he was taking his time and being real careful to do a nice job. I like the plastic clips. They don't wear out your pockets as fast as the metal ones.

Samo,
That's the exact same advice I give people. I tried to carry the smaller models for years until I realized that you need to match hand size to handle.

It's called the One Armed Bandit. Try Smokey Mountain Knife Works. http://esg.interliant.com/smknife/main.html
You might have to call them, not everything they sell is on their webpage.

This is my post from Bladeforums a couple of weeks ago. Bring back the Syderco Laguiole, put in another backspring for a scissors or a screwdriver/bottle opener and put a corkscrew on the back. I can't remember if the Spyderco Laguiole had a hole in the blade but if not, add a low profile one like o...

My Calypso Jr. does the same thing. It bugged me for a couple of days but then I forgot about it. As long as it doesn't hit the handle you're OK.
