Sometimes it's really a mystery what the IQ of some sellers on e-bay might be

On the knife it says CS, on the box it says CS, there is even a picture of both in the auction and what does the seller write?

That's something where one can just shrug and wonder :D

Cheers, Rob

On the other hand, the same seller has a copy of the 25th Anniversary (2003) dealer catalog, which I think someone here was looking for, on the block too. Have to admit, his ad for the CS fixed DID get into my search, which it never would have done if it had not said Spyderco, then the name Spyderco Desperado DID get me to click on the auction, just out of curiosity, so maybe he's not all that dumb, more views, more chances of a sale.

I, too, wondered why the spydercard was SOOOO high and what use the police's lifeless handle would really be...but I had to think for a while when I saw the title of the auction above, then I saw the pic :D . And to make sure I was correct, I also made sure the box specified another brand, and it does--but it is in the guy's own auction pic!!!

Hope I don't go through senior moments while preparing any listings--apearantly, no one is immune, regardless of age ;)

It's truly rare to see such crap over eBay... even thought we often have crapy seller.

I've bought stuff from icetiger-blue before. I noticed she has 12 negatives now and there have been some questions on her whereabouts in the past but she has a history of being a good seller of hard to find in the US SAKs.

It is rare

In all seriousness it is a rare knife. It is actually a Cold Steel Desperado. The reason it is rare is because it is an older AUS-8 version of the knife. CS has not made that variety for quite a while. I can't understand why that seller listed it as a Spyderco. She actually knows her knives pretty well. :spyder:

Here's another one that won't easily sell unless by luck. (6517099042) I suppose everyone gets in a hurry and puts down something incorrect in their title or sets the starting bid a little too high from time to time :o
