I am a big fan of both. I have a Spydie Wayne Goddard clipit and the Columbia River M-16-14. Both are awesome knives in my opinion.

Idea For A Rescue Knife

Sal,

Awhile back you asked for input from firefighters on what we's like to see in a knife.Well...How about a fixed blade-about 3 inches long with a handle about 4 inches long and a blade sort of like the one on the Columbia River Bear Claw.

Idea

I like the concept of a knife with a snap or clip on the end. But what I'd really like to see is one with a "D" ring type clip(make it easier to remove with gloved hands and a blade about 3 inches that I could hang on a clip on my bunker gear(Firefighter gear).

Was always intriqued with Spydercos but never could break away from my usual knives. Till last year when I saw a Wayne Goddard Clipt It at the unbelievable price of $39.00 at the Fort Lewis Washington Exchange. Now I wonder how I ever lived without it.

Knife care

I've got a Wayne Goddard Clipit with an ATS 55 blade - made the mistake of cutting through some glu seals and have sticky glue chunks all over the cutting edge - Any suggestions how to safely remove the glue? THANKS

Personally, I think there are alot of good knives out there by variuos manufacturers. Absolutely love my only(and not last Spyderco) but in it's place equally love my Cold Steel Master Hunter. Know if Spyderco made a fixed blade hunter comparable, I'd bet it would be just as good if not better.

First Spyderco

Bought my first Spyderco a few months ago(Wayne Goddard Clipit). Have been amazed at how it has held up under heavy use - I now use it more than any of the many knives I have. Way to go-GREAT knife at an unbelievable price.
