Well... to me the personally Stretch XL LW in K390 is "Sals folder" in the new Reveal...
But that´s just me, and you are of course 100% right that the Spy 27 Millie 2 features more of what Sal genuinely invented!
I am sure you´ll enjoy your two Millies!!

Re: Reveal 15 - Live!
Excited for the Rex 121 and return of burnt orange. Yes, I do like too that this great handle color is making a comeback! (Though REX 121 is not really for me, would rather see more REX 45) More thoughts on the new Reveal: - Chaparral Slipit : Great that one of the best folders ever gets more varia...

Re: Finally got a G-10 Manix
... Lock is big problem. I think the strong lock actually is a big plus on the Manix, way better than for example an axxis lock. The CBBL keeps the knife securely closed in pocket. I could imagine that it just takes a little time of getting used to and "training" till you find the CBBL ea...

Re: Lil Native slicing
Great advice! Thank you all. Soooo a LW LilNative. ;) Yes, the lightweight Lil Native changes pretty much everything with this platform for me personally...from "not interested at all" to "really worth a consideration" due to the thinner blade, lighter weight and FRN... Still: S...

Re: Any Double Bladed Desires?
I love the dyad plus marlinspike idea. And any salt dyad I would find quite useful. If this ever came to life, I'd love a variant with 1.) comboedge blade, 2.) saw and 3.) a good awl (instead of the Marlin spike) - would almost make for an outdoor-focussed Spyderco multitool... very useful in my op...

Re: Help choosing gift
Welcome lemontwist, Many good suggestions already, here my random thoughts: - For fishing a Salt model obviously would be a good choice indeed, and here the Salt 2 ("small") and the Pacific Salt ("large") are affordable, great options. I´d go with the LC200N (green handles) rathe...

Re: SE Manix 2 XL
I'd buy one in a heartbeat. No frn versions though. Any steel would do As said: I totally get the appeal of a heavy, linered G10 Manix XL with the superior cutting power of SE!! But wouldn´t a lightweight FRCP version be great too? Should have about Endura weight, and going by the Manix 2 LW this h...

Re: Salt Dreams
With all of the new salts coming out I can’t help but imagine what a Pacific Salt 3 could look like… maybe it can have Black and Green scales like the Magnacut Pm2 or Caribbean but with a Magnacut blade. One could dream The siren in an frn configuration that is black and green would also be really ...

Re: Weird info by a dealer concerning the CATCHERMAN: "[On the batch we have the]"blade chips on tubing"".. ? Any inputs
It’s hard to know what they mean when writing this, so I’ll refrain from guessing. I’m very surprised they have another batch on the way though. While I have arrangements in place to acquire one, it would be really awesome if a few more of these trickled out to European dealers before all stock is ...

Re: What is the single best spyderco configuration you own?
Tried to give my general answer early on in this thread (https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?p=1784013#p1784013), all shaped around the fact that my personal "single best configuration" just has to feature a serrated blade. When it comes to PE though out of all Spydies I own and owned...

Re: SE Manix 2 XL
I’d definitely buy one! No lightweight, Gray G-10, FFG Cru-wear with the small serrated scallops. There is no lightweight Manix XL anyway... and as much as I´d like to see one (a lightweight XL), I totally get that the feel in hand and use should be amazing with the heavy, solid G10 liner version a...

Re: Shaman thoughts
After a long Journey of trying tons of knives, I eventually ended with the Shaman for my grail knife. It is imo the best folding knife ever produced. The ergonomics are outstanding, the whole knife is very refined, it is ment to be a serious user. Also, it is a beautiful knife. Not too heavy but ve...

Re: LC200N Catcherman help...
death-bringah , I don´t have a Catcherman yet (but actually one ordered and on its way) so I can´t try, but unfortunately (in this case) I am sure it can be flicked open, just like Nick reported. In my experience pretty much any Spyderco can, if one is used to and likes to open a folder that way (l...

Re: SE Manix 2 XL
Sure, this would be cool and I'd definitely go for SE with the Manix XL over PE (well, I'd do that with almost any Spyderco...). But that said: We don't even have the very popular "regular" Manix 2 in (ffg) SE yet, just a disco'ed hollow grind version... (https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtop...

This, but with a backlock (or linerlock) ,would be so great.

Ah, thanks, that could be what they mean!
But then they are actually confunding the Catcherman with the Stretch XL (non LW) or something like that... the Catcherman does not have a lanyard hole tube...
