I can only advise to give a try in the wet shaving adventure :). I'm sure could do some realy nice and perfect straight razor. I used to shave with SR from 13 year and make a lot of them.

Jackknifeh, the thin g10 i use is from usaknifemaker. You can fin almost everything you need at that shop. You have knifekit too ...

I test all the straight i do at least 3 times in order to be sure the honing is ok :D

The three continent together kamisori :D

The kamisori is a japanese straight razor (Asian Continent), the Spyderhole is licenced by Spyderco (america) and i'm french for the old europa :D

It's more easy to cut (sideswipe???) with the spannish method :D . Straight or curve the result is more or less the same, but with the smile some movement are easier to do :D

O1 and O2 have all the quality to make good razor. W2 seem to me a good choice too :D

Brilliant designs, cardoso5fr! My hat is off to you. :) I especially like the blue handled model on the bottom of post #12. I'm assuming that's a friction folder? Also, what type of blade steel do you prefer on the small folders?

The Quetzal is hot. I'd love that blade in a more friction folder style handle.

The main advice i give to the people whose want to begin with straight razor and wet shaving is to take an used and old blade prepared by somebody from a wet shaving forum. In france you can find some straight around 25-30 euros , shave ready. You don't have an old sheffield with ivory scale for ...
