Re: Knifejoy factory anodized Spydiechef

Thank you for those pictures! Would you say that is the true color? I love that dark blue. Mine should be here Wednesday. Looking forward to my first Spydiechef. Yep I think the color in the pictures is pretty true! The scales are titanium so the color dulls as oil from your skin gets on it, but it...

Re: Knifejoy factory anodized Spydiechef

Just received mine, Spyderco knocked it out of the park. The blue anodization looks perfect and this is the first chef I've had with little-to-no lock stick out of the box (not sure if anodizing helped at all with that?). Also amazing action and probably the sharpest factory edge I've seen (it actua...

Re: Dragonfly & Manbug K390

Got my Dragonfly today, looks great! Took the clip off and will start carrying it right away! Also, a few of these are in stock at Campsaver and if you sign up for their text/email notifications you should be able to get 20% off (that's what I did when I pre-ordered mine a few months back). https://...

Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread

Blade HQ said that more PM2 Tantos were expected in the future. I sure hope that this is true because this is easily one of the best looking Spyderco folders. Yeah, it sucks that Blade HQ (or anyone) has the exclusive on this model and that it’s not a general release. Spoke to BladeHQ, they have no...

Re: Knifeworks Exclusive CTS-204P Delica 4

That DLT Cruwear Delica will definitely be a hit, but that seems like a tough price to swallow when comparing it to this one, especially when being dropped so close to each other. The price difference between the two is only $4.27. $89.95 for the KW Delica and $94.22 for the DLT Delica. Where did y...

Re: DLT Exclusive Delica OD Green FRN and Coated Cruwear

If their website acts is anything like the PM2 Cruwear release, I'll gladly pass. Pretty sure the special ed 3rd graders were running the website that day. If you want one you’ll probably be able to get one at release without much trouble. The Delica exclusives almost never sell out in a couple min...

DLT Exclusive Delica OD Green FRN and Coated Cruwear

Just got an email from DLT about a new exclusive: "Good afternoon, We are very excited to announce our next Spyderco exclusive. We have ventured outside of the US, and will have our first model from Japan. It is an OD Green FRN with a black Cru-Wear blade Delica. The OD Green is not as dark as what ...

Very interested in this! Hopefully they do bump the blade length a little from the original and offer it in an upgraded steel.

Re: Where does SPY27 Steel sits among the current Steel lines?

Has the price been discussed? I'm surprised to see this sit so far above S30V ($98) and Rex45 ($122.50) at $140 for a Para 3 LW. If composition and performance is supposed to be similar to S30V and S35VN, is the improvement worth 40%+ more in cost to the end user? There is no S30V Para 3 LW yet, th...

Re: River's Edge PM2

I asked the Bearded Guy (from the YouTube video that was linked a few pages back) about how the PVD coating held up after he did some hard use with it. He said it seemed as tough as any DLC softie he’s used before. Here’s a link to a picture he posted showing it after a lot of use. It shows wear but...

Did this just sell out while I was napping?
TazKristi typically announces the Mule releases here on the forum a week or so ahead of the actual release.

Re: River's Edge PM2

Yeah I’m surprised these didn’t sell out in a couple minutes. I think doing the surprise drop helped keep the flippers and bots away. Also the fact that they’re going to do multiple drops. I was glad to hear that because I wanted one to use, not to sell.

Re: The Para 3 LW: Features or “Bugs”?

I’m not a fan of the G10 Para 3. It’s dimensions and weight are so similar to a PM2 I’d rather have the extra blade length of the PM2. The Para 3 LW, however, is significantly lighter and has a wire clip which I prefer. Add in the better ergos with the more contoured handles and I much prefer the LW...

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

I just got a MXG clip and it fits Swayback much better than the Lynch clip (it sits flush with the edge of the scale). I've really enjoyed carrying mine and using it for some light tasks. Great design! And regarding opening with my thumbpad: it's a little more difficult than some knives but I think ...
