Re: Any Mushroom hunters?

You have to ask yourself, "Self, why aren't the deer and wild hogs eating these mushrooms?" http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/GCEpts9ben7admXg-uvX23sMHyJ6Wu9XKDfCCKQriU3nNYrOVDv2Dwd_XwcfD9n1B9ZL-kf1pGjie7_82aROE6ktYijilhWkGAcuI5Zs4TJZowjDOaacXY9Y_pS-kJMjOQF7JTyEIow3nPq5RCNz97UIvM-j1yXwYvkdKB9DHmqJvP_...

Haven't a clue what these are but I thought they were pretty. http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/4hKM_QB6c7EyBmfobvs3cqd5m3vIUvusfoY7gboNGawhbG3sJ6gOOvQmA5uw4y8_GClLsxI09sJP4Luqp8ikvrm9Ls0mhKTYrQlWmSG1Y4AiIz4JTMSOauVPHlgVk0RM1yChH3Dm_14mhwn7bGx4hqqMoYFoqtKTZ5GtnPKxoGRy48qucESgXPnmNGeG2AT2yB1PUAiCO__2Y...

Re: The Tactical Bottle Opener: Spyderco ClipiTool Standard

One third orange juice plus two thirds beer and you have a beermosa. Adds flavor and fiber to an otherwise inconsequential beer. And a good way to catch up on your vitamin C. Don't knock it until you try it. To your health. http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/n5OJWSkWxdkftqDg9hEss-rMxwBlUQyWkSGN02riXll...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

ATF quizzlers give Honey Badger pistol a reprieve for 60 days.
Length of pull exceeding 13.5 inches by a sixteenth of an inch may be the issue.

Re: The Tactical Bottle Opener: Spyderco ClipiTool Standard

Commercialized Halloween October 31 is the evening before All Saints Day November 1 and All Souls Day November 2. In Mexico this is a popular three day celebration known as the Day of the Dead. Constellation Brands’ Victoria beer has created an AR experience for Dia De Los Muertos. It can be experie...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

When I bought the AR15 pistol and added the pistol brace in 2016, it was an ATF approved pistol. Now, according to the ATF, as of this week I am the proud owner of an SBR (a Short Barreled Rifle) which makes it the last gun I bought. https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/atf-declares-the-q-honey-badger...

Re: The Tactical Bottle Opener: Spyderco ClipiTool Standard

It's been a month since I posted. Hope all of you are well and as lucky as I have been so far. It seems to me that a person does not get Covid 19. Covid 19 gets them. This sparsely populated county in which I live, tucked into the verge of the Piney Woods and Post Oak Savannah ecosystems, has mercif...

Re: Completely Forgotten Spyderco Models: Your Favorites?

This is pure speculation on my part but the aluminum handles probably required expensive molds. The cost would be prohibitive for limited production and offer no flexibility for modification. Once the Company hit on laser cut G10 scales, stainless steel liners and blades, design possibilities, innov...

Re: Completely Forgotten Spyderco Models: Your Favorites?

Doh! I just answered my own question by referring to my copy of The Spyderco Story , page 100. "Variations Early Versions of the Blackhawk had checkered 6061-T6 aluminum handles, but G10 was soon adopted, and all Renegades have been G10." The Company should have stayed with the aluminum and you, Sir...

Re: Completely Forgotten Spyderco Models: Your Favorites?

So many cool oldie spydies to choose from. But what I found out about some of my recent instagram posts, is that these are pretty unknown, on that platform at least.... and my current vintage favorite, the Blackhawk https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2020/02/blackhawk_spyderco.jpg Help me ...

Re: What Are You Reading ?

Q ANON: An Invitation to The Great Awakening by WWG1WGA Save your money. I was really looking forward to this but I am so disappointed that I cannot recommend this book. It is a collection of the breathless connecting of disparate dots, transcripts of wild podcasts, reprints of frustrated blogs and...

Need any more relatives? ;) Well I do have my limits. A cousin has a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock, but so far I have been able to resist giving her my Peter Carey carbon fiber Rubicon. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/eMQGTJbNgINP9F4EBhrWX-DXPjH-x7M81wXp15tooaNdlJWbvNoO63H1mYJCGtvVoSloEGuzfCwBT...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Not the last gun but the last accessory. A modestly priced bipod. October 17th, I am shooting in a fundraiser for the library in my small town. Eggs at 300 yards. We get to shoot from a bench. In the meantime, I am dry firing from my dining room table every chance I get. It's $100 to enter. First pr...

Re: Completely Forgotten Spyderco Models: Your Favorites?

Much of my collection is comprised of forgotten models because I bought them after they were discontinued and deeply discounted. Terzuola's Double Bevel is a another example. I'm a sucker for complex grinds and swedges. In addition to the eye candy, it was delightfully petite, slim and light. Again,...

Re: Completely Forgotten Spyderco Models: Your Favorites?

Have always thought of this one as the Police models evil twin brother.. Loved the Ulize. So slender, slim and light. Elegant yet so wicked. Somewhat reluctantly, I gifted mine to my LEO brother-in-law. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/n3j2-KRsEDQTdzjjH1EZyXC_9Ja1oMHfX8LGZSJzXnVbHfklJ6AAIz_RCUzXnR...

Re: Completely Forgotten Spyderco Models: Your Favorites?

If there is a Renegade sprint run, please add stainless steel liners. My guess is that the Renegade was one of the Company's first knives with G10 scales. If I remember correctly, it was intended to get into the biker market and compete with the Buck 110 that they favored. Unlike G10 clad knives mad...

Re: Any Mushroom hunters?

Also if you have a Google Chromebook like I do, image search is available. I use it a lot. Results can be spooky accurate at times and very helpful, other times, laughable. That is how I identified the red Amanita. It is also my understanding that it is possible to image search using a Chrome browser.
