This is not our forum. This is the Company forum.
Its purpose is to advance the interests of the Company.
That is done, quite wisely, by fostering the Spyderco community.
The Company also has to protect their brick and mortar retailers.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
I clicked the link and it’s back to $225 this morning. I’m guessing that this thread mainly just alerts the Spyderco MAP police.
And that is why I did not identify the dealer
that emailed me an additional 20% off
on a Spyderco knife already discounted 20%.
I had left it parked in my shopping ...

Re: Endura/Delica: What still speaks for sabre grind (while I generally prefer ffg)
In 2015 I bought a sprint run Terzuola Starmate.
It was a saber grind like the 1999 original, I assume.
The new release available now is hollow grind.
Starmate 2024 Sprint Run

I'm so confused.

Re: Endura/Delica: What still speaks for sabre grind (while I generally prefer ffg)
A first gen hollow grind Endura in 1990
is what pulled me into the Spyder hole.
For nearly a quarter of a century
I was perfectly content.
Then went crazy building a collection.
Knives do not get used much by me.
Their appearance is what attracts,
not blade steel.

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)
I finally broke down and bought my first Military,
a Cobalt Blue Military 2, CPM SPY 27. That is one BFK.
(Big Folding Knife. Why, what were you thinking?)
The blade, by the way, is perfectly centered.

Re: Show your Bugs and Critters
Ginger was doing her snake bark
and the neck of this little guy was spread like a Cobra.
Around here we call them puff adders.
They are only mildly poisonous, unless you are a gopher.
I secured Ginger at a safe distance to avoid getting bitten.

Military 2 $188.68 plus tax on Amazon.

I held out as long as I could
but I needed an iconic Military

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
Maybe the following is a legitimate workaround
considering it became a one on one negotiation.
An internet knife store was having a special 20% off sale
on top of their normally discounted price.
I selected a Spyderco discounted 20% off list
and at checkout a banner popped up

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
All this is making my eyes glaze over.
However, correct me if I'm wrong, I often am,
but I think it is still legal
at the risk of being embarrassed
to offer to buy at a price lower
than the price asked or advertised.
A merchant might guffaw or get rude
but I think merchants still have the option ...

Lumping micarta in with G-10, that’s like trying to start WWIII.
Agreed. They are quite different in feel and function, especially in wet usage.
Okay, okay! I give up.
I just ordered some Micarta scales on eBay
for a Tenacious I've been neglecting.
That way I will learn the difference ...

Friends, a strange thing has happened.
After more than 50 years of two a day or more
I have lost my desire to drink beer.
And that thirst was strong.
I still cruise by the beer aisle
just for old times sake
but there is no compulsion.
This was unintentional.
Nothing to do with Dry January.

Re: What Type of Scales Do You Prefer Poll
We are having good participation here,
but smooth G10 is not getting much love.
In spite of that,
I wonder if there would be enough interest
for a sprint run of smooth natural G10
in a popular model, such as a Native.
In my uneducated opinion
that baby would glow like yellow jade
