but this one is different.

A 10% ABV limited release Imperial Double IPA
celebrates the 10th anniversary
of Lone Pint Brewery in Magnolia, Texas.

Full disclosure:
Because I drank it before I realized it was different
the contents of the glass were provided by a Yuengling.

The sacrifices I make for you my faithful readers.
After drying out for months
made my customary tour of the beer aisle
to see if there was anything new
for an excuse to fall off the wagon.
(I do the same for Blue Bell Ice Cream.)
Lo and behold, there was Hulk Hogan's visage
challenging me to drink Real American Beer.

Some reviews on Beer Advocate were brutal.
It is a sweet light contract beer. Not a trace of hops.
Collectible can. Chicks might dig it.

I just watched the shot show thing on YouTube and saw this and it kinda got me wondering... are cans with pull tabs and bottles with twist tops not a thing in the US?
There seems to be very strong following for bottle/can opening capabilities being a high priority, I clearly don’t get it but I will say I’m loving that blade profile, The thin long blade looks amazing!
Very interested to see future configurations.

They are, indeed (though some brands of beer don't have twist tops--actually I think Coors might be one of them).

I have lost my desire to drink beer.
And that thirst was strong.

just for old times sake
but there is no compulsion.

This was unintentional.
Nothing to do with Dry January.
At age 78, I may have finally dried out.
It may not last.
Only time will tell.

That is strange...lol. I'm 66 and I wish I didn't want to drink anymore. My weakness is Bourbon. I love the stuff.
