How have I overlooked this knife? The answer is the back lock. There's nothing wrong with this lock, it's just that the knife looks so similar to the Sage that it makes the knife seem boring or plain.

I don't think it would make it a 2 handed opener. I open my PM2 with one hand now and I don't believe that would change in the design change.
One thing that might be a problem is the weakening of the areas where the cut outs are. You would have 2 cut outs 180 degrees from each other.

I would think teak would be an edge killer. I know it dulls saw blades and router bits quickly because of its high silicon content.
