I guess I'll be "that guy", but I'm not very impressed. In fact this is the only Spyderco I have bought that wasn't better than I expected. It's a nice knife, but just feels cheap to me. I can't really put my finger on it, but it just doesn't seem up to the quality of my others. The detent is very w...

Oh, ok. Everyone can have an opinion except me. I don't think I'm the one being defensive (or over dramatic) here. Changing the tool so the performance is increased? Seriously? Knives for jewelry? Where does this stuff come from? A customization job like this must be worth at $125. So, who wants to ...

Travis, I think your regrind talents, shown here and in other threads, are topnotch. I should leave it there, but I gotta say that this effort, to my eye, has obliterated the knife's original aesthetics. To each his own, of course. Being disinclined to mod, I avoid knives whose design does not init...

Wow. He comes off as a genuinely good person. Sadly, his business philosophy hads been discarded by too many companys today. Hopefully they'll learn the errors of their ways before its too late. Long live American business!!

Maybe John Browning's 1911, but that's the only one that comes to my mind.
Great post!! The 1911 puts "iconic" in true perspective. Para 2? No way.

I know they're over your budget, but I've got to recommend the Domino or Southard. I have a Delica ZD 189, a Sage 1 and a Para 2 also, but the two flippers I simply cannot keep out of my hands. Of the other three, I would definitely pick the Sage 1. Like The Deacon, I prefer it to the Sage 2.

I received the Brown Delica 4, the Delica 4 189 and the Sage 1 today. Very excited. A little surpised at the sizes. The Delicas are a little bigger than I expected and the Sage was a little smaller. Pleasently surprised in both cases! I'm hooked, I'm afraid.

One more guys. I'm gonna order one more. I 'm in position now to have a larger more heavy use knife. Para 2 or ZT 0566? This is really a tough one. Or, any other suggestions? Its got to be in the $150 +- range.

Okay guys, let's up the ante a bit. I've ordered a brown Delica 4 and a Salt 1. Now I'm going for one more. $200 or less. Basically the same size (within reason, I just dont like large knives). My main objective with this one is QUALITY of build and materials, pride of ownership and usefulness. I'm ...
