Pulled the Trigger and Ordered Sage-1

#1

Post by this_is_nascar »

Being a Chaparral owner, I wasn't sure if I should get the Sage-1 or not. Most everything I've read is people wanting to go from the larger Sage-1 to the smaller Chaparral. I love the fact that the Sage-1 will probably fill my large hands better and I really like the looks of the open design and the liner-lock. From what I've read, this is about the best implementation of a liner-lock that's ever been done.

So, within the last hour, I went online and ordered a brand new Sage-1 for just south of $105, shipped. I hope to have it by the end this upcoming week. I can't wait.

To keep my mind off waiting for it to arrive, tell me why I did the right thing, how much I'll love the Sage-1 and to look forward to enjoying about the knife.

Great price! I overpaid for mine, but don't regret it one bit. I'm sure you will enjoy your new knife. :)

Mine is one of the smoothest knives I own. You snagged one at an excellent price. Here's a little teaser to tide you over until yours arrives.

Excellent choice! I had one that Rachel confiscated so I bought 2 more. I also have large hands and the sage 1 is my go to small knife. I find others, D-fly Chapperal, ect are just too small and clumsy for my hands

It's got the best liner lock and is probably the smoothest opening Spyderco I have other than my Southard (ball bearings). It just glides like glass on those bronze washers, it's crazy. It keeps getting smoother too.

Mine is perfect. One of the best liner locks I've used.

No visible wear either on the lock either and mine was one of the first ones made and has been used a lot.

I like my Sage 1 and Sage 2 .. The only thing I like better is my Caly 3.5 so if you don't already have the Caly 3.5 do yourself a huge favor and get one of those next.
