The Impala is my only Spyderco I bought Second Hand....... Still love it, even though I did not use the gut hook once. What about Elmax as a Steel for a Sprint run? Holds a Sharp Edge and (supposedly) will not rust even during tough hunting trips?
Would definitely go for 2 (1 each of my ...

Hot work steel in dishwasher
All Maxamet really was ment to do was be the hot work steel equivalent of A11 that's a cold work steel as far as wear resistance is concerned.
I suppose they needed A11 level of wear resistance in a hot work environment so the alloy content was balanced for that type of use.

Well, our Sales manager, factory manager and Eric felt that adding another sprint into current Golden schedule would create issues with current deivery so it won't happen in Golden until maybe 2015. EASIEST Solution
How about no Spyderco branding? Plain box, no logo, no hole-nothing to identify the knife as a Spyderco except that it was purchased directly from Spyderco. Ebay buyer beware! I realize Spyderco's brand is incredibly valuable to them, but for the intended purpose of this project, not so much. It ...

Normally (8 out of 10 or so) they are between 30 and 40 degrees. I think 40 degrees is a high angle for the steels on SPyderco ...
