Mine had the same issue. You could watch the lock bar slide, which was a little spooky to me. You could push the lock bar towards the other scale and it was fine. I just figured they could disassemble it, tweak the lock bar, and it would be all good. I figure they know what they are doing so I trus...

I would grab a Tuff myself. I may be unfortunately making that same decision soon. They have my PPT right now and I haven't heard back yet. What was wrong with yours, and did they give you the option to have your knives back? Mine had a bit of lock rock that you could get to go away if you pushed th...

DougC-3 wrote:Interesting video, timlara -- thanks. So is the term "Voodoo steel" associated with just this steel, or is it generic for all "super steels"?
I think this steel only. The thread I linked to is the only place I have seen it. This video is related to that tread I believe.

Ah. The Wife has her own smaller collection of knives (~30) so she doesn't complain much about me buying knives. But...many of her knives come from my collection. "Oooooh. I like that one" is often followed by that knife disappearing and reappearing in her knife box. Sigh. That is what I ...

The Slippery Slope of Your Spouse Liking Spydies

These are my wife's Spydies, sort of. The Chokwe was a backup for me just because they were on sale. Then it made its way de-clipped into the kitchen. A while ago she asked me to put a clip on it for her to carry every now and then. I figured it was okay because I have my own Chokwe with a wire clip...

HAP 40 would be my choice. The M4 equivalent is hard to say no to, but I have some M4 and like trying new steels. I still need an Endura and a Caly 3.5. I was thinking of getting a waved Endura, so I would love to grab an HAP 40 Caly 3.5. I can never find a SB 3.5, so this sounds perfect. Don't care...

I clipped this to a little pocket while swimming in the ocean a few weeks back. Rinsed out the sand that made it a bit gritty and it was back to new.

They are similar in finish/coarseness to the diamonds, details in previous posts above. I am thinking one or the other is necessary and not both. With your extended time with each now, which would you recommend to add to the standard system (with UF rods too)? Price is the same where I have seen th...

I suspect a larger Tusk like knife may happen, but the sales of the Tusk are probably not that great due to the cost. I would say a larger Tusk with a SE and possibly a hawkbill would be better than the current Tusk. The blade seems like it may not be enough in some situations. The main reason as I ...

It takes some adjustment, but I find that something around 3.5-3.75 in blade length is ideal for EDC. You can make due with less but if you don't have to I don't see why you'd want to. That is exactly my thoughts too. Throw the Military in there as the one 4" blade I carry, and the Domino and ...

I've been considering doing something similar. I am thinking that g10 is rigid enough that it may not need the small steel liners. Just a thought; then you can DIY. The knife will need the little liners around the lock area. The LW as is now is the bare minimum in the liners department. G10 is awes...

they are now gone. I was going to pick up a blue one at that price. He must have been selling them at his cost or lower. That is a crazy price.

The only things I'd want will probably never happen, namely being a version with solid G10 scales without liners and a wire clip. Basically make the lightweight version exactly how it is only in G10 instead of FRN. I would like G10 no liners, but with a deep wire clip instead of the one it came wit...

Yup. Threads that describe the things they're doing wrong only keep them in business... I agree to a point, but I think more good through education of potential buyers is done than harm. They get a real knife and reverse engineer it. They don't need us to tell them what is wrong with it. They can c...

I received mine this afternoon. Just got around to some pictures. I really like it. It is a very cool blade. The Delica already had a low blade to handle relationship although for some reason, it doesn't get thrown in the mix when people complain about it  Not that I really care, because I...

I own a CW 45 and just wanted a Kahr branded Spyderco. Haven't received it yet, maybe today when I get home. Not much more to it than that for me. Little expensive for something like that, but I grabbed a Khaki one. It may just stay in the case when I go shooting, and get used very little, but I bou...
