rg02,
I bought a grey FRN endura 4 and used the rit "sunshine orange" dye in the powder form. Initially I had hoped to make it a darker orange. This was before I found out that they were making orange a standard color for the delica and endura 4s. I am terrible at using a color wheel. You can ...

I am in the same dilemma as the OP. I love the performance of the S30V as compared to my VG10 but have fallen in love with the g10 on my PM2. I think I might go with the ZDP since I don't have a knife in that steel yet. Lots of good information in this thread. Thanks.

Well guys I had some success today. It all started when I noticed a burr on my PM2. That simply would not do. I set it up at 30 degrees and went to work on the medium stones focusing on the burred area. I realized that I had been hitting the shoulder on the right side in my previous attempts as yall ...

Yeah I put my order on knifecenter approximately a week ago. I figured it was worth a shot as other retailers were sold out. Fingers crossed.

Spierce,
I was having major trouble getting a really sharp edge on my delica as well. I even made a thread about it a week or so ago. On the other hand, my trouble was getting it sharp while yours is getting it razor sharp. It turns out I was on the shoulder on one side. I want to second sal on not ...

that's a good point. Today I noticed a nice burr on my edge that I don't remember putting there. Think it could've rolled?

I guess that when I hear some people say that spydercos are a 30 degree angle, they must mean the back bevel and that the edge is 40, right?

I have just been so frustrated ...

Help with Sharpmaker

I recently purchased a sharpmaker to try to keep all my edges factory sharp. Received the package a week ago, watched the video, etc but can't seem to get really sharp. After a full progression I can get little better than a utility edge. Sal and the people on youtube make it look so easy.

For ...

what's funny about my OD endura is that I meant to make it orange.
Started with the gray FRN and used RIT sunshine orange. I must not be very good with the color wheel as it came out OD green. I was pleasantly surprised.

the models I listed are the ones I currently own. I am looking for an older meerkat, although I saw they are doing a sprint of burgundy.

Help with Sharpmaker

Getting into spydercos I wanted a way to keep mine factory sharp. Read lots of good press on the sharpmaker and was already used to a set of ceramic rods by Smith's so I figured it would be an easy transition. Received my SM approximately a week ago. Watched the video and looked through the guide ...

Hello from louisiana

Just wanted to say hi to everyone out there. I have just gotten into knives in the past year and have gravitated towards spydercos for obvious reasons. I came here mainly to ask some questions about using the sharpmaker and try and find some older models that caught my eye.

I would like to list my ...
