Hello everyone, I wanted to know if the sharpmaker by itself is enough for sharpening a knife made of D2 steel? Or is D2 too hard of a steel which will require other means of sharpening? Thanks.

So all of you that know how to use the 701 stones get the blades shaving sharp? What angle do you use and I assume you guys are using a downward motion. So sorry for my inexperience but I like my serrated edges and really want to know how to sharpen them properly with the coveted 701s.

I just got the 701 stones in the mail. Tried to sharpen my serrated Delica and it seemed to be duller when I was done. I am going down each serration to the best of my ability, but I can't get it sharper. It seems I was better off just using the triangle sharpener for serrated edges. From being on ...

So it seems like I need to sharpen each serration individually.
