I was wondering what tool do I use to adjust clips on frn handles? Also where can I get that tool?

A torx driver is what you are looking for. You can get an inexpensive one from Husky. I suggest getting a set that is t-5 through t-9 at least so you can disassemble a knife should it get very dirty...

You can tell a lot about a person by how they keep their knives.

Thanks for the reply Fifteen54. The torx driver will work fine for blade adjustments. The tool I need looks like a shallow cross on the clip of frn handles (eg. Atlantic Salt).

A flathead screwdriver will fix that problem :)

Two coins. If you're in the USA, nickels work well.

808spyder,

Aloha and welcome to the Forums. Is the 808 a reference to the State or to the drum/bass beat?

I always use pennies - but then again, I'm a cheap date.

808spyder,

Mahalo for getting back and Aloha bra! It's good to see some Aloha spirit on the Forums. I'm originally from Oahu, Aiea side, now I live in Arizona! Desert heat out here, but we have plenty of the 808 Tribe!

Aloha again bra!

Was at Harbor Freight Tools today and picked up one of these for 7 bucks. Worked perfect for my clip change and pivot screw loosening on my Spyderco PM2. Has every bit you will need.

The coins and/or screwdrivers mentioned above should work fine. If you are afraid of getting scratches on the clip screw (which can be obvious if its black) I would suggest putting a paper towel or napkin between the screw and the coin or screwdriver.
The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

I have also used some tape to not mar the surface of clip and barrel bolt.

Side note: I love Spydercos barrel bolt type clips. Just something about them that I prefer. Though I do love my wire clips.

My favorite Torx tool is the Maxxdriver. It comes with T4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and 15 reversible bits which fit inside the handle. Very compact and has never failed me or stripped a screw.

About $7 if I recall.
