Re: The Para 3 LW: Features or “Bugs”?

I have the KnifeCenter exclusive Cru-wear Smooth G-10 Para 3. It's a beautiful knife that I just don't like carrying, I don't think I've ever cut anything with it? All I saw was the word "Cru-wear" and jumped on it fast one day while home at lunch. It'll probably be one I sell here shortly? Never tr...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I've followed this thread since day one, I say we have JD pick the color of G-10 and roll with it, his thread, his color! I think that's fair and I'm sure it'll be a color we can all live with, let's get on with it!

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

Our first challenge to overcome was to find out if the original maker still has the tooling and can make the run. We just heard back that they can do it. Now we'll need to see if they can make it in screw construction without needing new tooling. This maker has not worked with any non Japanese stee...

Re: Need kitchen knife recommendations!

Have you looked at the Bradford knives culinary knives? I have their paring knife and chef knife in M390, and they're pretty good (and might just be in your budget range). Without a doubt the best kitchen knives I've ever used are the TRC Knives Equilibrium (chef's knife) and KO (kitchen utility si...

Re: Your suggestions please

I always carry Lil’ Lum in my Hitch & Timber Runt along with a flashlight and small Leatherman tool. I have a Chaparral which is still on probation. I remember how much I liked my Rhino and think now that the “trouble” I had adapting to the blade was mostly me. I plan to get another and educate mys...

Re: Your suggestions please

I know exactly what you mean about the Delica's time has passed.....it had for me too, I haven't bought or used one in years! Having said that, I like using this new saber grind Delica wayyy more than my Cru-wear Para 3, but that's just me.

Re: Your suggestions please

I do not know how your dexterity is in your hands but I have a Dragonfly LW and a Ladybug Salt Hawkbill that I keep on me during my hospital visits. I keep one in my pajamas always at the hospital and even at home in case I have to be suddenly taken to the hospital. Aside from those, I’m afraid I’m...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

Man, I shouldn’t take so much time off from this place! I literally flew through 9 pages looking for “did Sal respond?” And then BOOM. I want a SE and would gladly take VG10. As a matter of fact, with the time I spent away from here working- VG10 is a great steel. It’s ability to Resharpen easily m...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I think everything should be the same, but since we have to change something, so the same knife doesnt get reproduced, then handle color seems easiest. I would even be fine if they just changed the clip color. At this point I would strongly prefer the same knife design, from Japan, in the same old ...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

Let's really just keep this one simple and make it like the last sprint, but in a different color so as to not duplicate the previous sprint. Let's also avoid Unicorn steels and too thin blades that defeat one of the major design points that Mas put in to his design for a reason. If you want a util...

Re: How important is scale color?

Not really all that important to me, although I don't plan on ever buying a pink knife! I did however pause on buying a yellow Pacific Salt, for a long time actually, just didn't want a yellow knife! Now.....it's just another Spyderco that works, and works dang well for me, it's in my pocket right n...

Re: Vacation Knives

I don't know what surprises me the most: That this post was created, or that so many people have replied. It somehow makes me feel inadequate... How many of ya'll carry more than one gun on vacation? Usually (always) take 2 pistols and probably 4 knives! Vacation last month in Sevierville, TN, took...

You could get it all done with just that Pacific Salt, but I like the way you think! Don’t forget to go to Tortugas’ Lie for fish tacos one night, you can thank me later! :D

I would be very happy for a Ti framelock Lum Tanto in M4 or K390. Not enthused about VG10 or LC200N though.
Yep, this is where I'm at.....M4 ;)

Re: Need kitchen knife recommendations!

Thank you everyone! We decided to go with the Shun Classic knives. I'm comfortable with vg-10 steel (vg-max, in this case), and my husband and I both liked the blade shapes and overall style. Got the paring knife, the 6" utility, and the 8" chef's knife. At some point, though, I'm going to spring f...
