I get my first SE Pac Salt later today. Looking forward to it.
I'm fairly new to the serrated Pacific Salt game myself, I swear it cuts like a chainsaw, should have bought one a long time ago!

Nice knives!

Ever get impulses to be a minimalist and sell all your knives except the few you carry most often?
Yes, I do. I could easily sell 15 of my Spydies, and the majority of them are discontinued.

My last 3 knife purchases.

I actually had a list, a physical list with the models written down at work and the order in which I was going to buy them. I’m up to 25 Spydies, the last four here were the last four on my list. Para 3 Cru-wear (haven’t carried it in months). Yojimbo 2. Lil’ Native Comp lock. And lastly, a serrated...

I really like the Wegners. I wish they were back locks, but they are good looking, feeling, and handling. Too bad we’ll never see another.
Yep, that “clack” sound they made when locked open was awesome! I’d love to have a modern version of either size Wegner! But as you said......too bad!

I had no idea I’d love my Lil’ Native as much as I do! I like my Dragonfly’s, I have 3 of them, I just don’t see them ever getting carried anymore!

Beautiful knife Jim, just looking over your pics, it looks like a very expensive knife to manufacture, great details!

Re: What MLB players should be in the HF but aren’t?

Definitely Pete Rose. And I’m so very happy that Edgar Martinez finally got in this past Sunday!! Pete Rose for sure>> it's been long enough for wounds to heal and I'm more than sure Pete has learned his lesson and could still contribute to MLB in a big way. And breaking Ty Cobbs record with over 4...

Re: You Get What You Pay For: Yeah You Really Do

soc_monki, thank you for mentioning this! Can you please advise me on some of the other good tool brands? Until you came along I have never heard of Knipex and now I just looked them up and I am pleasantly surprised. Thank you, friend. I would gladly welcome any other good insights into quality too...

Re: Santoku

I have a 5.5" Shun Santoku with VG-MAX steel, it has a D-shaped PakkaWood handle. I love that knife and would buy anything remotely close to it from Spyderco!

Re: Saturday work knife revisited.

Gotta say, I’m several years late to the party! I have a drawer full of PE Spydies, this serrated Pacific hasn’t left my pocket since the day I bought it! I know this is old news to you guys, this thing cuts unreal, and I’m actually liking the yellow! My eyes have been opened!

Re: Springfield Saint Victor.

Thanks for replying Hoosier. I have a PSA 5.56 rifle that works fine, the Saint is definitely more money but it’s also definitely more refined and slicker, I don’t mind splurging a *little* more. Other than a optic, nothing has to be upgraded on this one. And honestly I’ll probably use Magpul pop-up...

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places

This past weekend I saw three different discontinued Spydies at Hyatt's gun shop in Charlotte, NC. A Zulu, a Zowada, and a Terzuola. Just in case anyone is interested.

Re: Concert Security vs. "Assault Leatherman": Guess Who Lost

If I had to guess the number of concerts I've been to, 100+ The Blues Traveler show in 1995 at the Charlotte Hornets training center in Fort Mill, SC is a top 3 for me, and I've seen some pretty incredible shows! The Hornets training center was basically a super nice gymnasium, the number of seats i...

Springfield Saint Victor.

Anyone here own one? I'm thinking real hard on a 9" Saint Victor pistol in 300 AAC Blackout. Just curious if anyone here owns a Springfield Saint Rifle in either the Saint or the Victor, 300 or 5.56, and either the 9" pistol or a 16" rifle. Just curious about any opinions on the Springfield AR platf...

Re: Why all the Manix love?

Does my S110V Manix LW look like a CR Inkosi Insingo? Nope, not even close! But man what a great user, and who cares what people think? What I know is I have a super high quality, great cutting knife that didn't break the bank!

Re: Saturday work knife revisited.

I used to like the Pacific, until I got my Caribbean. The Pacific is now in the for sale pile. H1(even SE) loses it's sharpness too quickly, LC200N cuts circles around it. I still want a SpyderHawk, but I'm going to wait for LC200N or get a VG-10 version. Understood, this is my first go-round ever ...

Saturday work knife revisited.

Picked up this Pacific late Saturday afternoon, this was the last of the four I had on my must purchase list along with a Cru-wear Para 3, a Yojimbo, and a Lil' Native, guess I need to start a new list! I absolutely did NOT want a yellow knife......but now after playing with it all day yesterday, it...
