Re: Turkey

I'll be married 20 years this year, for the last 20+ years my BIL has deep fried a turkey for Thanksgiving, he's very good at it, they're always good! Well, he recently bought a Char-Broil Big Easy oil-less fryer and has fell in love with it! He said he will NEVER deep fry a turkey again! This thin...

I've missed out on the Ayoob several times and swore if another Sprint run were released, I wouldn't miss it.

Re: Old Requests Being Made Again: C-111 in Orange Please??

I've got a still new Captain in the box that I've never carried and am now torn about carrying cause I don't want to hurt the value, been thinking about selling it for "years". For me it looks like the most unpractical knife design ever, definitely the most unpractical knife I've ever owned. But the...

Re: Let's discuss cheaper base models

I think S30 / S35 / & VG10 are great baseline, high quality blade steels. I know my opinion here is not important but I despise Walmart, hate walking in the place! I’d love to see Sal work out a deal with say....Home Depot and pick a model or two, say a Delica & Endura at a special set price. I star...

Very nice Jim, looks like a very classy version of something we'd see on The Revenant! ;)

Re: P'Kal vs. Yojimbo vs. Chinook

Not the answer you're looking for...........pistol. I own a Yojimbo and a Chinook 3, I have zero training in knife SD tactics and would HATE to ever be put in that situation for I believe it would probably get ugly for me! I do train with a handgun, often, and that would be my first choice as a SD t...

Re: Slide cut for reflex sight

Personally, I would go with the EAA/Tangfolio Witness in 10mm (or 38 super) but I can't stand Glocks. Am interested in reflex sights. Well, I forgot I was interested in them until this thread. I will be checking them out now. You mind me asking why you can't stand Glocks? I've personally been on a ...

Re: Slide cut for reflex sight

Don’t know what resources you have on new Glocks, I just priced a Glock 40 from Davidson’s to my FFL, it was $700.00 and this combination is usually the cheapest when I’m looking! I’ve never priced a G40 before, yeah it’s pricier than your “standard” Glocks!

I heightened and shortened the blade, and moved the pivot and stop pin slightly forward.
I like it, great job!

Yep, a serrated Pacific Salt while they're still available! I had no idea I'd enjoy that knife as much as I do!

Re: Wal Mart Ammo

Bought 450 rounds of NATO 124 gr. 9mm target ammo yesterday, a little pricier than 115 gr. but I carry 124 gr. +P in my 9mm carry pistols.

Re: Well this hobby is about to get more expensive.......

Beautiful knife Jim, heirloom quality! Also have a Randall Model #1 7" coming too, my old one was stolen/went missing decades ago. So I figured it's a good time to get another one to replace it. Can't wait to see it! When I first started buying Spyderco's, I bought 3 from a parts drivers of a Kia d...

Hey Darby, just curious why you're not interested in the long slide Glock 40 MOS, too unwieldy? I do understand your protection point of view, but it seems to be a better choice for taking that shot at a deer, or hog.

Re: Well this hobby is about to get more expensive.......

Hey @Vivi, if you would please, help me out! I'm wanting to buy me a fixed blade soon, something between 8" and 9" with Micarta scales. I've had it in my mind it "has" to be 3V, 4V, M4, or Cruwear, which all of these would be great! I've been looking at some LT Wright knives and a lot of them have ...

Re: We are saved! Baseball Season is here!

Although not a fan, congratulations Nationals! What a great, memorable World Series, the best team definitely won! With Rendon being a free agent, man his stock ($$$) went through the roof! What a clutch player! We actually got to see two excellent Third Basemen in this series! Congrats to the Astro...
