That's called a Micro-Tab.

Holds the laser cut part in the sheet so it will not fall out during machining. The worker will push all of the pieces out once the entire sheet is cut.

I programmed CNC machines during an internship.

I considered doing a rockwell hardness test to my PM2, I had access to one in the materials engineering lab at school. Should have done it.

Very cool pics, considering getting a military soon.

Depending on how sharp the edge is. On my VG-10 Delica it won't take nearly as much. S30V is tough stuff.

My PM2 is probably around 30* from the factory, I use the 40* setting on the sharpmaker to give it a microbevel. I continue to sharpen with the 40* bevel as it will slowly but eventually wear all the 30* factory bevel away.

How many strides are you doing per side? I usually do 100 or so on the ...

I think you could do anything with that knife. From hunting to shelter making. FFG gives it a nice strong edge and allows it to slice efficiently.

I fully processed a whitetail deer with my paramilitary 2. Obviously not your typical hunting knife blade shape or size.

You may just be putting too ...

I really like these videos. Some of you may not. This is a mass produced knife, if anything it's an educational video of the capabilities of this TOOL.

If/when properly engineered they know what sort of force it will take to compress the liner lock to failure. They know the limits from FEA analysis ...

How much of the tip broke off? Are you prying with it...?

I have EDC'd my PM2 for a year now, and the only issues I have with the tip is getting it as sharp as the rest of the blade. I will ONLY pry with it if I know it's something I can do with my fingernail or something soft.

Does the top part of the clip not match the contour of the titanium scale? That just looks strange to me.

My delica 4 FFG's clip is chipping and showing a decent amount of wear.

My PM2's clip, which I have carried 10x more than the delica is not nearly as bad. Some small scratches but not chipping like the delica.

Doesn't really bother me, but obviously a different coating process between the two.

Well the new bushing system in the para 2 stops it from squeezing it in. I usually file this bushing very lightly to get rid of play if any is present but once I've done this the play never comes back. I have an old para and an original yojimbo not to mention a Vesuvius and find all the old ...

When I'm actually using the blade I open it normally.

When I'm sitting watching TV or bored, I flick that bad boy constantly.

Delica 4 flick open ease

Recently got a black handled FFG Delica 4. Love it's light weight design. My paramilitary 2 now feels like a tank after carrying the Delica for a few weeks.

Compared to the PM2, flicking it open with my thumb is not difficult, but not as easy as it should be in my opinion. I really have to flick ...

I vote to keep as well.

I don't think I gave my PM2 enough of a break in period. I got antsy and took it apart to see the insides and so forth. The engineer inside me.

Super smooth and fast. I seriously could flick this thing open all day.

Just a tiny tiny bit of wiggle side to side. Can't get ...

I like the stepped pivot. I've gotten both of my Para 2s and both Manix 2s to the point of a free-falling blade with zero play. I will admit, some tinkering was involved, though.

I've been tinkering with mine for what feels like once a month for a year. Can't get it 100% perfect. Ticks me off ...

Need: Black hardware for my delica and PM2

Really wanting black hardware for my DLC coated PM2 and my new black handled FFG delica 4.

Before emailing spyderco I wanted to see if any of you had the luck in purchasing extra or....black hardware from spyderco.

Yes it's purely cosmetic, but it would seriously make my day.

Delica......DLC + FFG+ plain edge?!?!?

http://www.knifeworks.com/spydercoendur ... dge-1.aspx

Saw this on knifeworks and bladehq, FINALLY!

I've been wanting a delica for a while, and this combination is perfect.

Anyone know when this will be released?

Thanks!

Warranty void alert...ignore if you don't want to risk affecting your warranty.

The P2 is very sensitive to how tight the stop pin screws are. Try this, if you have the willingness, ability and proper tools. Back the stop pin screws off slightly. Tighten the pivot screws (both) until there is no ...
