Stainless backspacers & the Caly 3.5

I've been looking at the Caly 3.5 for a while. I love vg-10, the blade shape, the choil, but more than anything..

..I love the look of the stainless backspacer surrounding the back-lock. I think it's absolutely gorgeous, and makes the knives look both solid and very classy. It must add a nice ...

hey guys,
i hate to be the odd man out, but personally I think that benchmade makes excellent knives. I haven't always had the same reliability with them that i have with my Spydies, and most of my problems have been with their proprietary Axis lock - but they are head-and-shoulders above most ...

hm, the way that's phrased makes me wonder if it's in comparison to other rustproof or "super stainless" steels such x-15 or n680.

Delica Replacement & H1 serrations

Remember that Delica 4 I dyed? It's gone!

I'm attracted to the Salt 1 as my replacement, due to it's lack of steel liners, the yellow, the shape.

How does the H1 hold up when it's fully serrated, though? I'd love a fully serrated Spydie, but H1's not the hardest steel, and i currently possess ...

I think the sage is a great suggestion. if not that one, the titanium one.

it's true, spyderco's customer service does indeed rock. While their knives rarely give me trouble, i have sent in one that was defective. I was sent a brand new replacement, and they payed for the return shipping. Way to go Sal, Charlynn and everyone else at spyderco. yall rock!

(PS...you do still ...

from my experience, VG-10 has excellent rust resistance (it was my boat knife over the summer and impressively, no rust formed) and apparently so does S30V. If i had $150 and wanted a cool knife in VG-10, i'd get the Persian. However, the Paramilitary2 would also be a rockin' choice. A Delica can be ...

Jack -
Flicking the spydies open can actually be really easy. It's my preferred method over "slingshotting," or keeping my thumb in the hole through the whole opening process.

the trick is to not place all of your thumb fat into the whole hole - just dig your nailbed into the rim of the OUTSIDE of ...

whew. I must be the only American who doesn't enjoy drinking, or the taste or smell of alcohol at all. IMO I've seen nothing but bad come out of the poison. To each his own i suppose though :)

When i can get a well made assisted opener, i'll take it. For example, kershaw's speedsafe is fast and elegantly simple - not to mention, easy to remove. I've never heard from anyone i know of a Speedsafe knife failing.

On the other hand, my BM580 with Axis Assist has completely broken (to the ...

are these a sprint run?

awesome pictures from everyone by the way. I always liked the Manix design but was turned off by the weight, the sabre grind (just on this particular model) and honestly just how scary it looked :) i will definitely need to buy one of these.

I guess if it's a sprint, the ...

cool , one other thing will dress that knife up more. Take the clip off , strip the paint off it and polish it out. will really complete the package.

Hey guys, all the enthusiasm is awesome. From what i can tell with mine, the PC's are torx-constructed like jackknifeh says. The back of mine also seems to be glued, or possible made of one piece? anyways, the blade can be removed. I really love this color combination - i'd take it in a full ...
