I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm in CO but have never been to the outlet. I'm torn between a Chaparral and a Native 5. I'd like to go handle both of them to help me decide, but I'm afraid that I'll just end up getting both haha.

Sorry I cant help much, but I'm interested to hear more also.

Thank you for clearing that up for me Senate :) I thought that's what I was seeing in front of me but I thought I read that all of :spyder: 's zdp was laminated. I really like the look of the zdp, it looks a little more gray colored and not as shiny and polished as the vg-10 blade (which is cool in ...

Ive been carrying a G10 dragonfly for a while now and i came here trying to figure out if a zdp blade swap was possible and some of you were already on top of it :) . Bought a ZDP dragonfly right away and made my own Frankenstein dragonfly last night. Spent a couple hours on the sharpmaker, might ...

Thanks for the replies. I worked around the spots I knew were there but the one that got me I never even saw. I guess it was just big enough to catch the fine edge. I did try and smooth it out a little with the other rod, I think it made it a little better. Oh well, I'm in CO so maybe I need to take ...

Sharpmaker fine rods

I bought a sharpmaker about 6 months ago and I really like it and have sharpened all my knives with it and even a few of my friends knives. When I first got it I was checking out the stones running my fingers over them just feeling them. I noticed my fine stones were kinda chipped up. I didn't think ...

I'm really excited about this knife! I'm hoping it will replace my Dragonfly G10 for edc. The only thing I dislike about the Dragonfly is the pointy thumb ramp, I prefer the smoother top profile of the native. I might have to go pick up a native 1 to hold me over :)
