Nice knife. I belive the CM stands for Crucible Metels and CPM is Crucible PARTICLE Metels. Something about a vaccum and keeping out impurites making the atomized particles do what they are supposed to do better.

I have also used my Bill Moran for some meat prep. Really good slicer. It was quite remarkable to me at the time. I forgot, I used it because it was the first really sharp knife I owned and wanted to see what it would do. Thats what made me first long for Spyderco kitchen knives :)

I always use my ZDP stretch for kitchen chores when Im not at home. it slices as good as any of my utility kitchen knives in the block at home. With that being said I do prefer a kitchen knife for the kitchen. Cant wait for spyderco to re-release some :)
