I snapped a small piece of the tip off of a Rookie I had. I just reground the tip to a more blunt profile, sharpened it up, and continued using it like that. I sent it back in for service, along with a ProVenator that I had used for daily carry for years, and got them back with both blades replaced ...

New Warranty Policy???

It's been a long time since I've been visiting this forum, and I see that it's changed a bit. I also see that the warranty policy seems to have changed as well. I'd like to send in my knife for sharpening, and a general tune-up like I've done before, but it looks like that might run more than $5 now ...

I know exactly how you feel. It took me years to finally send my knives back because I'm so used to having one on me, and I didn't want to be without one. Since the Rookie is a smaller, lighter blade, I could usually get a good edge on it, but the Pro-Venator was another story. After ...
