The Delica 2 is on the Spyderco website. It is listed as the Delica, while the FRN model is listed as the Delica Lightweight. (page 1 of the product section.)As for whether or not it's a good quality knife to buy, I say heck yeah. After all, it's a Spyderco product. The forum member formerly known a...

Right on samo. I'm relatively new to Spyderco (since 1996) and I've never had a problem dealing with anyone at Spyderco.

Native, no doubt. It fits in your hand like butter. I going to purchase my second soon. A friend of mine bugged me so much about buying mine I finally sold it to him. I made 5 bucks in the deal too!

Clay, I agree with you 99%. The other 1% I chalk up to not having alot of experience in real life situations involving a knife. The point you brought up about actually using a knife against a living human being is one thing I think not many people really consider. There have been posts to this forum...

Maybe instead of starting with the Military, try going for a Delica or Native size knife. It would be a little more "toolish" then the Military. (Okay, I just finished typing this and realized that you didn't actually specify whether or not you already had a Spyderco. From the SAK comment,...

I was going more for the gun in my face/knife to my throat idea. I'm a pretty big guy (6ft. 250lbs.) and if someone attacked me without some sort of weapon, they would probably regret it. I'm no Van Damme or anything like that, but I'm a brawler. I just don't think my first reaction would be to reac...

Sal, I don't have any experience working as a machinist, but I read once that Spyderco looks at attitude towards the job more then qualifications. I'm 22 years old and am very good with anything mechanical. I'm also very good with computers. Just thought I let you know, I would love to work for Spyd...

To the best of my knowledge(and i'm no lawyer)even using pepper spray is a felony depending on the situation. I personally wouldn't do anything in self-defense unless I felt my life was truly in danger. I may sound like a wuss, but unless I think i'm going to die, it's just not worth fighting back. ...

Somebody please correct me if i'm wrong, but I would go with a Native Lightweight. The CPM440V steel holds a very good edge and doesn't rust easily. I don't know about saltwater though. I sold one to a friend of mine that runs his own construction company (Race Construction-near Utica, New York. He ...

I saw a show on VH-1 called "Strange Frequency". It was made up of a couple shorter shows. In one of them, this guy drove around picking up kids on their way to concerts. In the trunk lid of his car, there was a flip down cover. Behind it was an array of weapons. One of them was a SS Polic...

I saw an espisode of Millenium where Frank Black used a Delica to carve a pumpkin. I think the episode name was "The Curse of Frank Black". This is the first time i've seen a Spyderco on tv or in a movie that wasn't used as an offensive or defensive weapon. The forum member formerly known ...
