I have both and for me it just depends on what your typical EDC needs are. I think the Gayle Bradley is an outstanding value for what you get. It won't be as grippy as the textured G10 models that Spyderco offers. However you still get plenty of grip on both. Out of all the folders I have handled ...

I currently EDC on rotation my Gayle Bradley and Caly Super Blue. I love them both. I'll probably get backups of both if I find good enough deals. It'd be great to see more carbon steels and tool steels in folders.

I've ordered a computer trackball in the past that was dirt cheap through an amazon seller, they ended up cancelling the order. My order of Maxpedition gearslingers, Spyderco Police, Native 5 and Warrior probably won't pan out.

Replica Poliwog and Karambit?

Looks very similar to the Poliwog:

Similar shape to the Karambit but the clip and lock design varies:

I bought a few of Chad's designs with Boker :) as well as a few Kershaws. These were a departure for me, but I found myself going back to Spydercos on the most part. It's nice to vary up the EDCs every once in awhile.

Great review!

Great review! 5 seconds after reading it, I purchased one on my favorite auction site!

I really like the carabinger clip on the ring because I was always confused on whether the solid circular rings on karambits could cause the tool to be viewed as a brass knuckle. Do any LEOs have any thoughts on ...

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! I always like seeing new uses for knives that I already own. It almost makes me feel as if though I bought a "new" knife without spending any cash!

Good book: Getting Things Done by David Allen

I was reading the book Getting Things Done by David Allen a few months ago. It's a good, practical read. It really helps in organizing and tracking tasks and information. It also covers getting projects and how to break them up into stages which would hopefully help with the procrastination.

I think I would take to the Tenacious if it had some top and bottom jimping like the Sage and Caly3. Other than that, I would buy and try.

Have you tried the Magic Eraser? That may work. If chemicals or that doesn't do the trick, you could always sand off what's left.

You may be able to pull off some good deals on eBay. Cutleryshoppe has it for $165. Sometimes they are slow about shipping if they are having a hard time obtaining, but I eventually get what I ordered. I usually wait until I have a large order to take advantage of their flat shipping rate (8.95?).

But my collection of "often used" knives stays pretty close in my little work shop. I mounted a magnetic tool bar under one of my shelves and there they stay.

I was looking to buy also. I think people like the length, smooth action from the liner lock, grippiness of the handles. I've read some that the tip isn't super strong, so going stab happy may not be advisable. It's a sought after piece as it's discontinued and aside from the Mule's, the only one ...

How do you store your EDC Spydies?

I love the Spyderpacs, but they tend to be a bit too large for my EDC rotations. I tried the Sack-Ups knife roll ups and they are not evidently designed for folders. Too narrow in the pouches, probably mainly designed for narrow slip joints or swiss army knives. If there's a Spyderpac that stored ...
