Topic: Manix 2 lock fails hard-use test [VID] -- thoughts?

I think the BBL and the CBBL are potentially the strongest lock designs around. However, anybody who has handled a Manix 2 will know that it is not an overbuilt folder, far from it. The blade is only 3 mm thick, the liners are extremely thin, the pivot is small and the way everything is held togethe...

+1 :D

Spydieguys suck. Read on BF GB&U about that buyer who never received his knife from them.

That's definitely a winner, peel-ply CF is my favorite material and the fact that the scales cover the liners entirely is also a plus. Chase is a great guy, too.

I believe that's Les George's entry for the CK&G Forum 2010 Build-Off. He won second place behind Jeremy Marsh.
Of course, that one too looks like a Starmate...

if i had to pick one on the list, the mule is the most exiting.... Even in s30v. the plus side is, sal will build what he wants as a forum knife and probaby not use this "vote" at all . :d :d truth is, on one level i could care less. I'd be in for a 2010 spyderco forum knife regardless of...

Yeah, except that aren't Mules supposed to get a larger number of users acquainted to not so common steels? I mean, an S30V Mule would make no sense at all, IMHO.

And let's try to keep the etching in check, if possible.

Not interested in any of those unless the Manix has a different steel.

I did not like the place before, even less so now. I hope they pull the Custom Knife Show, NY does not deserve any income from knife collectors from around the country.

When it comes to production knives I am definitely a steel snob, the last thing I want is a replica of a custom knife.
Besides, apart from the Bradley, very few Spyderco collabs appeal to me, my favorite models are all in-house designs like the Para, the Millie, the Manixes, the Lil' Temp and the ATR.

Watch the Tiger!

Yesterday Tiger Woods seemed to play at a level he had not been playing at for a long time, even before the whole extramarital affair(s) scandal broke out.
I am not a huge golf fan but I'll definitely be watching the U.S. Open tonight...
