OEF & OIF Natives: finally!

The OEF was particularly hard to find, it took me over a year. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_C7lpFxAEQHs/TOLZ4-NGdHI/AAAAAAAAGBQ/x9bkcM4MaYo/s800/IMGP4160.jpg http://lh5.ggpht.com/_C7lpFxAEQHs/TOLZ9s4U1PI/AAAAAAAAGBU/WWOg9IcwIEc/s800/IMGP4161.jpg http://lh5.ggpht.com/_C7lpFxAEQHs/TOLaEtHsraI/AAAAAAAAGBY/rAd...

Yes, with 154CM blade, it was one of the few Pilot Runs with a FFG (BTW, there were 50 Pilots total, I never found out how many were FFG). http://lh5.ggpht.com/_C7lpFxAEQHs/S_mG1KG3mfI/AAAAAAAAFkw/6iy9v-p8AYE/s800/IMGP3865.jpg http://lh3.ggpht.com/_C7lpFxAEQHs/S_mGiJOZuGI/AAAAAAAAFks/N8ikjwoMGxE/s80...

Not a FFG blade, so the knife is a Frankenstein. I hope you did not overpay... Or you can try and get your money back if it was listed as new in box.

I pretty much scoured the forums and grabbed one at the first opportunity. They are something of a rarity these days, but pop up every so often. Man, I think I've pretty much exhausted all the manix pic threads in the past two weeks. I was  when I read that you'd passed on your FG Manix. I hav...

No thanks. I'll agree the Sage II is a beautifully made knife but, handed locks of any kind are virtually guaranteed to be wrong handed for me. Paul, are you referring to the clip position or the lock itself? I find it very easy to operate a LH framelock with my right hand, it is actually more natu...

It is also discontinued but pretty easy to find on the forums or eBay.

This whole argument against tough knives is getting a little tiring. What is a "tough" knife? One that is properly built to withstand what you might have to throw at it in a situation where it is the only tool at hand. Who says that a properly profiled and sharpened knife can't cut as well...

I think that most people posting in this thread saying basically that "tough" knives don't cut never owned/used a properly made overbuilt folder. I can name scores of folders with blades 3/16" or thicker that will outcut most "slicers" out there. A name comes to mind first: ...
