Picked up RSD titanium scales for my Manix 2 XL. Also picked up a Sharpmaker, reprofiled to 15dps up to 320 grit on a Worksharp Precision, then did all 4 steps on the Sharpmaker. The idea being I will go through each of the steps after a day of use to ...

@BeggarSo and @Wartstein
Again, thanks for your input. I have had my eye on a Tasman Salt 2 Hawkbill SE for gardening but I will instead pick up a Chaparral SE. If I don't like it, my partner will use it in the garden.

@BeggarSo and @Wartstein,
Thank you for your input. The Chaparral has been one I've flirted with buying many times. 2mm blade stock on a Spyderco interests me very much. How do you find CTS-XHP on SE?

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
The DF2 I received had quite snaggy teeth, so I got to work with my new Sharpmaker. Being time-poor, I thought I'd speed up the process by reprofiling the bevel on my Worksharp Precision assisted sharpening system. This completely ruined the serrations. I then tried getting back the serrations with ...

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
Hi V9w1Co2,
Welcome to our forum.
There are many opinions of the best way to sharpen serrations, and most think that their way is the best. Spyderco recommends the Spyderco Sharpmaker or the Spyderco Gauntlet, using the corner of the triangle or the edge of the ""Cat's Eye" stone.. Spyderco also ...

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
I just finished reading this entire thread, and picked up a Dragonfly H2. It's a great design. My budget isn't allowing for another knife-related purchase for some time, so I don't have access to a Sharpmaker. I am wondering if anyone has experience doing serration sharpening with a Worksharp ...

Re: Different knife different day, or one knife for life?
I work in construction, so my knives see a lot of use. Here’s my current setup:
Native 5 (G10, 15V)
This is my go-to for fine cutting—stuff like trimming silicone tubes. The action is a little stiff, and I didn’t want to mess with the pivot screw, so I slapped on a zip-tie for that Emerson-wave ...

Re: CruCarta Manix aftermarket parts compatibility
I put Rockscale Design scales on my CruCarta Manix 2 XL and they went on perfectly.
