Re: Manix Observations (C95 vs XL)
The Manix 2XL was the third Spyder in my hands, I loved the idea of a big knife with the ambidextrous lock and I can only agree with many others here, the ergonomics are spot on with this knife! I for one do not care much about backlocks, but I would really love to see a redesign of the knife ...

Re: Sharpening PANIC!
i got my Bodacious about three weeks ago, been using it every day since, mostly cutting plastic straps and cardboard, with some food, paper and arm hair in between.
In my opinion, it has better edge retention than S30V, though I can't compare my SPY27 Bodacious to an S30V one, since my only other ...

Re: Question about the Manix 2 XL
My Manix 2XL in S30V is an absolute rock, no play in any direction whatsoever. Highly recommend this knife, it's a great cutter and workhorse :)

Re: Do I really need a Sage 5 if I already own a Para 3
I think you should at least try to get one in your hand, although the specs make it look that they're very similar to each other, I think those two are distinctively different from one another. My Sage 5LW is almost two years old and a year ago I got a Para 3LW for a friend. I use his knife whenever ...

Re: Best Spyderco Knife for Everyday Carry?
In my opinion, it's the Sage 5 LW, on whichever steel speaks to you, mine is the standard one in S30V.
It disappears in your pocket, is easy to deploy and close, has a nice handle for a variety of grips and a blade that's thin enough to cut well but stout enough to be pressed into "bigger-knife ...

Re: Tell us about yourself!
Welcome to the forum. There are others here from your country (@Wartstein ). Do you still have to walk from mail box to mail box? My uncle had to do that until he retired because all of the boxes were on the doors in his area. He stayed nice and slim, though.
Hey, thank you :) yeah, I ...

Re: Tell us about yourself!
Hey there folks :) my real name is Christoph, I'm 32 and live in Austria, born and raised. My knife journey began as a small kid, I grew up around fields and forests so we always had a knife on us, usually some kind of cheap SAK or knockoff thereof. When I was 19, had my own car and money, I went to ...

Re: What was your 1st Spyderco, and …
The first Spyderco I ordered was a PM2 in S45VN, sent it back because I really don't care for the PM2's size, looks and combination of thin tip and thick spine, though I have to say the ergonomics of the PM2 are still the absolute best of any knife, any brand I've ever held.
I exchanged the PM2 ...
