Re: Fake eBay sales
Yep, and pretty bad ones at that. Happy to report that reporting them got the listing taken down for once.

Re: Out of the currently available Spyderco knives which Spyderco will later turn into I should have got that moment?
Sorta debatable if it's currently available or not as it's been discontinued, but definitely the Rockjumper for me. I just got one this week, and it's a great knife that I am enjoying a lot. Really considering picking up one in SE to go with the PE I have while they're still available new.

Re: How do I know...
Hard to say without seeing the listing or pictures of the knife.
National Knives is legit, an outstanding dealer, and has it for $69.50. I would buy it there and save yourself at least $7 and any worrying about if it's real or not.

Re: ebay frustration
I wouldn't touch that knife with a 10 ft pole. That screams fake/scam. It's not a compression lock, it's not made in Taiwan.
I agree that the listing is suspect and I would not buy it, but BladeHQ did do a Jade/satin M4 Millie (liner lock) in 2017. I'm sure there are legit copies of this knife ...

Re: Did I buy a counterfeit???
I don't think there's really any way to tell until you have the knife in your hands as the listing appears to be using Spyderco's product photos. However, the seller's long time on eBay and mostly positive feedback would make me feel a bit better about it.
Yes, the seller's positive history ...

Re: B&H legit?
To be fair, I've only made one personal purchase from B&H (a SPY27 Delica), but I had a good experience. Shipping was very quick, the price was outstanding, and I had no issues with the knife. My employer has made a number of B&H purchases recently, and they were all very smooth as well. It's a ...

Hidden members only content?
Hi all,
When I was browsing the main forum earlier, I came across a post with a green box that read "Hidden Content (for members only)". This is my first time coming across it and I was unaware of any sort of membership beyond joining the forum. Is this something new, a problem, or just something I ...

Re: Coloring scales with Tulip fabric paint
I have not used it on knife scales, but I'm kinda inclined to believe it would probably be a result similar to RIT dying G10/FRN. I think I'd probably stick to RIT as I'd personally be a little concerned with the paint building up in screw holes and so on and causing problems with the action and ...

Re: Before I order from National Knives
The prices are very close to OpFocus prices, so I'm sure they are still making money. It's my understanding that they're able to sell below MAP because you have to be signed in to an account get their lower prices.

Re: Storage, open or closed?
I'm no engineer or anything, but it's my understanding that it's the transition between compressed/uncompressed and vice versa on a spring that causes wear rather than sitting compressed or uncompressed. I personally store all my autos closed.

Re: Fake Nirvana??
Definitely a fake, the knife in the listing is screw-together and a liner lock instead of an integral frame lock. I reported it to no avail, automated system said there were no problems with the listing. Maybe because it was listed as a "replica" in the item details? Really gross situation.

Re: Another ebayer selling counterfeits
You report to Ebay?
Yes, they don't care though. They won't do anything unless Spyderco files a complaint. They have a very strong financial incentive to let the counterfeiters sell whatever they want.

Re: Is this a knockoff
Why would anyone buy that thing, of questionable quality to say the least, for $170 when you can get a real deal Manix 2 LW, of known top quality with lifetime warranty, for less? Who is the target demographic here?
I believe it comes free with a pair of boots. I haven't heard anything good ...
