Lightweight frn or denim micarta on a SE Magnamax blade would be excellent for a non-Salt for me.
Lc200n is a great blade steel, easy to bring to a fine edge, tough. I’d be happy with that for a Salt, and the Salt green is a perfect colorway for me.

Re: Christmas carry (and gifts), a festive thread
I’m happy to be giving a SE Counter Puppy kitchen knife, a SE Rock Jumper, and a SE Leafjumper as gifts to individuals this year. The ‘Jumper knives are both a great package for even non-knife people.

That’s a good looking Shaman!
I tie a longer lanyard to my hunting specific knives with Blaze paracord. It has saved me effort in the past when I have set down knives in leaves.

I carry a fixed blade (a serrated Enuff 2) for primary field dressing purposes. I have a clean backup folder (a Native 5 Salt) in my kill kit, along with hand wipes, a microfiber cloth, latex gloves, and paracord.

Quadruple Zero (0000) steel wool polishes off light surface rust well. Works great to clean glass too!

Re: Native Lwt Magnacut SE thoughts
FWIW, I have the Native 5 serrated in both LC200N and Magnacut. It’s a great compact cutting tool, can’t go wrong with either. I added lynchnw clips to both, now they are perfect for my use.

My favorite Spyderco is the Manix 2 XL because it fits my hand perfectly and meets my needs for most situations.
It’s very hard to choose just one Spyderco. I love the Leafjumper, the Manix 2, and many others. Keep up the great work!

I have a KC Manix Xl in Cruwear and smooth G10 that I got in a mystery box. I’ll admit, photos of this knife online were not enough to warrant a purchase for me. After receiving mine however, it is a favorite carry. It’s size and heft are perfectly balanced, and work well for me clipped in stiffer ...

I also ordered the Stretch 2 XL from DACK, also got refunded after 30 days. Weird thing was is that I got shipping confirmation after 2-3 weeks. Then got tracking info. Followed the package online to my house. Saw it was delivered by UPS, but the picture was just the guys shoes on my porch. UPS gave ...

I had just been wondering about using a SE Dragonfly Hawkbill for field dressing deer or small game. Any experiences with that sort of thing?
