I haven’t and probably won’t. My mind changes every time I change out my knife. I have come to realize that if there ever is a “one” it will more than likely be a backlock.

Thank you all for your advice. After thinking on it and reading your responses I decided to keep it and it will be a good learning opportunity for me. I have never had to deal with this before, and feel it will be a valuable lesson in learning to sharpen better.

I got one with the same issue. Same side too. There were also a few other weird grinds on it.
I don't think it'd be too hard to fix it on a stone. I'm probably going to sharpen mine to give it a more accute bevel anyway.

After looking it over again, I noticed the blade has spotting on it and a strange shape showing around the branding. It doesn’t wash off. Anyone ever seen those before? I know it’s cruwear, but I’ve not even been able to get cruwear to patina at all on my PM2.

So I just received my Ayoob and while the knife itself is great, the grind is about the worst I’ve ever seen.

I’ve never even considered sending a knife back for replacement because of a bad grind. But this one is so bad it has me questioning even being able to correct it.

So how bad can grind ...

Knivesshipfree was the MVP (MVR?) for sales this season. I kept a few tabs open all weekend and really ruminated on a couple of knives. Ultimately, I decided to pass on all of them. But it hurt. $107 for a Spy27 Manix and the 90-something dollar LC200N Pac Salt were the ones that almost got me ...

I’d probably call it quits also. And the only one I’d buy is a Native 5 in SPY27. It really is all I would need.

I wonder how salt versions of the rock/leaf jumpers would be. It kinda has a Caribbean lock back kinda shape… if you squint… and it’s dark.

I’ll shamefully admit that I throw away the boxes. I tried keeping them for a while, but empty knife box storage wasn’t something I could convince my family was a necessity. The boxes eventually succumbed to spring cleaning. Since the initial purge it has gotten easier and easier to toss them.

I’ve enjoyed seeing everyone’s posts and all the crazy deals everyone is getting. The only one I was too slow to pull the trigger on was the WMK Ayoob. Sold out as I was trying to check out! I can’t complain though.
