Hey @Deadboxhero random question… love my K390 and would love one in the PM2, it’s been my understanding that Seki City runs their k390 a little harder than Golden does (which is where I understand the BBS k390 PM2 is made) do you know if that heat treat has changed at all?

I’d love to see a manix 2 in k390… especially with the higher HRC that’s coming out of Seki City

Got the email from DLT at 12:34pm EST that they were back in stock. Picked one up at around 1pm and out of curiosity went back to check about 10 minutes later and they were already sold out again. Not sure how many they had but those seem to go quick!

For me it’s the Endela in k390… just a bit more blade length, belly, and what seems like a ever so slightly thicker tip… it almost has a bit of a Insingo blade shape… fits my hands like a glove… and man do I love k390! Delica, Endela, Endira… Such a great family of knives!

Been using Ballistol for years and it has worked well for my tool steel blades…

Thought it might be fun to bump this thread to see if anyone’s opinions have changed or if there are new thoughts after we’ve had time to use these steels.

Does this model have steel liners on both sides?

I know Jake and I imagine if you contact him he’ll make one for you… I’m actually about to ask him for the same thing for one of mine.

Finally got a shaman in 15V… love the shaman and the amazing heat treatment BBB and Spyderco cooked up… while I understand the shaman won’t be the slicey monster like the thinner manix 2 or PM2, but I’m curious what others would say the thicker stock of the shaman does to the 15V? Does it give it a ...

I sat down to sharpen my k390 endela on my wicked edge using Diamond stones… didn’t know what to expect given the high HRC on those k390’s… I literally put my stones down after 5 minutes and laughed in disbelief and how quickly a bur formed and how easy it was to get it screaming sharp…
