Great photos so far, everyone!

This photo was taken in Vogel State Park during a family camping trip. The Kapara handled food prep for the weekend. I love the sculpted carbon fiber handles and the overall lines, especially how narrow it carries in-pocket.

Here’s my submission for the calendar. My family was camping for the weekend while the Spydiechef handled food prep. We came across an old train car in the nearby town that the kids wanted to check out, which is in the background.

Yesterday was a lot of fun. It was a real pleasure meeting and briefly speaking with Mr. Janich. For anyone who hasn’t made it to the show, it’s well worth the trip.

Very cool to see pics from the ground. I had imagined a few new pieces of equipment, but this is an absolutely massive expansion!

I’ll be there as I’m only an hour or two away from the venue depending on traffic. I look forward to Blade and the Spyderco booth all year. Spyderco will usually bring prototypes of upcoming models so you can see what’s in the pipeline, which is always fun to check out.

I lost my first Spyderco, a brown VG-10 Delica while putting bundles of cardboard into the racks of our warehouse. The clip got caught on the poly strapping and hitched a ride into the racks. Haven’t handled a Lamia in person, but the grind looks very thin behind the edge. I’d love to see that carry over to the collaboration.

How would you plan to attach the handles to the knife? A pointer I received from someone who apprenticed with Fiddleback Forge is for your first and last pins to be close to the blade and butt of the handle. This is to reduce the potential of the scales separating from the tang if you’re pinning and ...

I don't have plans to buy many more knives, but I would like to get better at freehand sharpening. If anyone has a recommendation for an affordable bench stone(s), I'd welcome it. The most "super" steel I have is probably M4.
