Re: Best Spyderco value

Hope people don't mind me bumping an oldie but id like to hear peoples opinion on the best value Spyderco folders in 2021. In the value range id have to go for the resilience and efficient, both fantastic budget friendly knives. Byrd hawkbill is a great little knife for the money too. Native 5 lc200...

Re: Caribbean for EDC - Plain or Serrated?

The Caribbean would be the absolute perfect knife for a combo edge blade, the salt environment, stuff like rope and getting through the underside of the gill area when gutting bigger fish, a combo would be the best of both worlds. Id be all over a combo leaf Caribbean. @Jason, it might be one of tho...

Re: Caribbean for EDC - Plain or Serrated?

Welcome aboard mate, Im in the same position as you and have been researching as to which one I'd get, the serrated or plain leaf. I went for the serrated option mainly because I have plenty of plain edge folders, thought the Caribbean would be a perfect knife to get serrated on. Im thinking the SE ...

Re: LC200N or H1 Dragonfly 2 with DARK COLOR handle!

I forgot to ask, if you are laying on your deathbed, what are you thinking of doing with a dragonfly? You'll never be able to use it. To help the world. The world needs a blacked out Dragonfly2 in H1 or LC200N. Even for $80 or whatever. It would be be a net positive for the planet. I'm thinking abo...

Re: Knife lubricating agents

Many of those newer gun lubes have come a long ways as far as lubricity>> they just seem to get better each year. I was told by a friend of mine that Frog Lube is food safe. And I've seen that claimed by quite a few people on certain websites as well. But again I mostly just use fixed blade knives ...

Re: Throwing hatchets/axes/tomahawks

I, too, have several throwing tomahawks. I have several of the SOG Fasthawks (those are the smaller ones) and few Cold Steel tomahawks. I always bring one with me when camping to throw around a bit. Do your Cold Steel ones have wood handles? How durable are they? I'm afraid we'll just shatter them ...

Re: Soap causing corrosion on H1??

I checked my shower knife earlier this morning, and I noticed that my Ladybug Salt HB appeared to have some corrosion spotting from having some suds splattered on it. I rubbed off most of it, but there is still these darker specks left that won't scrub off - anyone seen anything similar to this bef...

Thanks Dave. Ive got golden and taichung models, im not expecting that level of knife but if the Spyderco value range is anything to go by, I'll be happy. Ive been very impressed with the resilience and tenacious for Chinese made knives. I like to support Golden and Spyderco USA made mostly, most o...
