Re: A Larger Scale Dodo Model? PLEASE!!!

Interesting. I think the Dodo is about as perfect as it can get as a production knife. A genius design. I have the orange S30v sprint.

Re: Serrated Edge Retention

Big fan of serrations. Currently have 3, SS Mariner I carried in my SAR vest when I was in the service, SE Endela and SE lil native. I do prefer the nice plain edge at the tip of the last two. They will keep on cutting long after a plain edge loses its bite.

Re: Differences between Cruwear and 4V?

I think I have seen a few of the St. Nicks and other exclusives in 4V test in the 65 HRC range. This would prove an advantage in wear over a CPM Cruwear at 62-63 HRC. Again, trading toughness for edge retention. I have a Native 5 in CPM Cruwear and a 4V Para 2. I have not put them through any testin...

Re: Stretch in a steel I never heard of v-toku2

Go ahead with the V-toku. It should be tougher than the VG-10 and hold a similar if not better edge.

Re: Native Chief first and ongoing impressions thread

Native Chief might become my favorite Spydie. My CF S90v sprint is really sweet and carries really well. Slim and light for such utility.

Re: Native Chief first and ongoing impressions thread

I think the 4V and M4 fit the model well. I will be looking for a CPM Cruwear or CPM Magnacut as well. The native melts into my hand so a smooth G10 works fine and is easy on the pocket.

Re: Seki Sprint Revival

I would think the Endela, Stretch 2 and Police 4 would be fair game for Spyderco to release in Superblue and HAP40. They would sell out quicker than the original drop years ago and most here would want these versions.

Native Chief. Two sprints out. S90v is exceptional but more expensive than the REX 45. Both are worth having.

Re: Street Beat Sprint - Which Steel?

HAP40 and Superblue. Reason being they are domestic steels and available to the maker in Japan. Cruwear or coated 4V and 52100 would be nice but I think that muddies the water.

I found a few in stock. Wish I would not have blown my budget for the year. Who knows maybe this will be around when I get the opportunity to grab one.

Re: Native Chief first and ongoing impressions thread

The more I handle my S90v NC the more it grows on me. My blade has a nice even grind.

Just admiring the grind on my NC. It’s as perfect as any Spyderco I have ever seen. Compliments to the Golden knife makers!

This knife was on my to buy list for some time. I like the 3” blade for legal reasons. Regret not buying it when it was available.
