Ooooh. I would definitely do one of these. Would be stiff competition for my Bahco.

Re: Why the hate of Zome?

Umm, I don't hate it, I just don't like it. I'm here for the steel , not VG-10 I would add the design as well. So with a well established design, unless I have to have every iteration of it, then it will be about the steel. These do nothing for me since I'm not a Delica collector. Now if these were...

Re: Working on Mule handles...

Wow Tom nice! I like the proportions on the second better. The 50-50 on the first batch doesn't do it for me. You ever want to send a copy to Boise for evaluation I'm available and have a PD1 mule waiting for me to get off my duff.

Re: Wildland Firefighters Knife

May sound a bit odd, but I feel honored to just be able to watch this thread and process work out. Really can't remember when I've seen something like this if it comes to fruition and I really hope it will. Heck may buy one just to support the cause.

Bummer in store only. Although my wife would not be happy if I got another coffee mug; running out of shelf space. I would have to get one of each color for sure.

Re: Expand Golden, CO made offerings?

Greetings fellow watch and knife afficionado! I believe Sal has said fairly recently that he'd never take the Seki line away from that manufacturer out of a sense of honor and obligation: they stood by him early on and he'll stand by them. And as you know from that Seiko on your wrist, the Japanese ...

Re: Swayback

What I ended up doing was a pinch grip with the blade and my left thumb in the hole and a sharp and short downward motion. The momentum snapped the handle into place. I'm sure there's a term for that type of opening that I'm unaware of.

Re: Swayback

My experience mirrors Mikey177's. But, I do think if they had machined in some relief cut it wouldn't have significantly altered the aesthetic but would have helped with the opening issue. I love the knife and it's in my weekly rotation often, however I found out the hard way that opening left hande...

Re: it may be a little early, but...

And honestly it's different enough to warrant getting on it's own merits. Doesn't feel like an Endura/Endela at all. Really feels like a choil-less Stretch 2 but with a bit more blade and in a Wharnie blade at that. But I would love some steel and color options until I can finally talk a scale maker...
