They are available now. Passing on these already have Magnacut PM2's. And REX121,CRUWEAR ........ pick your flavor.

Passing on these as well. Already have the 2 regular production magnacuts and the Crucible exclusive. Maybe if it was micarta scales. Don't know really, jade g10 was never my thing in first place. Best of luck to all.
Re: Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Knife Diamond Mesh Natural G-10 (MagnaCut)
Honestly I’m more interested in the textured scales. Not to mention that I know Magnacut!

Re: Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Knife Diamond Mesh Natural G-10 (MagnaCut)
From my experience handling the Para 3 versions the scales are very nice. Some would say pocket shredders but they have a nice grippy texture. Excellent if you were to use as a stainless steel knife cutting in wetter environments. Also the jade is easy to dye any color. For me a must for the collection but for many a choice of these or the salted versions.

Re: Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Knife Diamond Mesh Natural G-10 (MagnaCut)
I usually just pocket the knives without the clip so the shredding isn’t a problem!
Textured scales are a must if they can be had. Exciting!

The scales are a perfect platform for a Rit Dye conversion. I took a M4 Dodo they put out years ago and used Saphire Blue rit dye in a pot of boiling vinegar, blade removed of course.
They came out fantastic.
The pot however was destroyed

I ordered the DLC version today. I'm a fan of the natural G10 and the diamond texture is a bonus.

Re: Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Knife Diamond Mesh Natural G-10 (MagnaCut)
Also, why even DLC a Magnacut blade? I thought the main reason for a coating was to prevent corrosion. Does that suggest Magnacut isn't as corrosion resistant as suggested, or is this purely a fashion type thing? Totally not understanding why they even bother with this. Are Salt models typically DLC coated?
Re: Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Knife Diamond Mesh Natural G-10 (MagnaCut)
DLC has never been to prevent corrosion.
It is more of a stealth thing so the cardboard doesn't see it coming until it is too late.
Purly for visuals.

Re: Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Knife Diamond Mesh Natural G-10 (MagnaCut)
Do I understand correctly that satin liners equals not salt-level corrosion resistance, thus this being a normal Para 2 with Magnacut?

Re: Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Knife Diamond Mesh Natural G-10 (MagnaCut)
It's a cool knife.
Sometimes I do a search on youtube for the latest Spyderco videos for the week or month, and it was sort of bizarre to see a litany of youtube influencers all getting their copy of this knife and singing it's praises all around the same time. Don't get me wrong, the PM2 is one of my favorite Spydercos, but how everyone got one and was highlighting it, including the 'can't believe it hasn't sold out yet' vibe was hard to unsee once I saw it. It was all too on-the-nose for me. This style of marketing feels very inorganic. Pete from Cedric & Ada has had some interesting commentary on this cycle recently.
Looking in the comments of the video, the comments were a lot more muted compared to the excitement of the narrators. I think most people knew it was a swing and miss compared to a tanto release. Could be that BHQ is playing it smart and releasing this one before releasing a tanto version, as this one would probably just sit if the releases were reversed. It is in no way a knock on the knife, which I actually like more than a comparable tanto version. It is a knock on all the hype, though.

Re: Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Knife Diamond Mesh Natural G-10 (MagnaCut)
I don’t understand the issue with BHQ’s release of the standard PM2 clip point blade shape before the Tanto version. Their original jade M4 exclusive was released in 2016, the DLC version in 2018, and the two Tanto versions arrived in early 2021. So by those numbers, it might be a year or two (or more) before we see a MagnaCut Tanto since I’m guessing there’s still a lot of other knives in the Golden queue.

Re: Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Knife Diamond Mesh Natural G-10 (MagnaCut)
It's about timing, back then Blade HQ had all the hype about M4 on there side, (still not sure what that is all about, not a great steel rusts and doesnt hold an edge probably makes a good ax) what they should have done is very simple wait.
Wait and release these in Magnamax, Tanto as well I have owned those and they are an incredible example of what Spyderco can produce, dare I say grind out.
Lets face it Magnacut is all over the place and Spyderco by comparrison was very late to the party releasing it and it feels like only now hit it's stride.
Jade handles uh yeah I'm okay not going out of my way for them, I get it some people love them but not a selling point here in a blade I already own.
As fot youtubers, the recent batch are not as good as the previous ones like Smoke eater and super annoying Shabazz guy, and yes they all read from the same script probably getting knives on Amazon to do there little video and then returning them.
I am at the point now where I can skip around and see what I'm looking for as the script is set.
What I really watch is someone using the knife not just trotting it out on their often incorrect opinion runway.

...kinda like the random forum guy that suddenly this past year became a posting machine in every thread...comes out with this blasphemy that M4 isn’t a good steel?? Might be the first time I've ever read that, and can personally say I 100% disagree.
