Is this normal?
Is this normal?
Just got my first PM2 it came dull from factory and the metal part on the back is uneven.
Re: Is this normal?
Pictures?… Are you saying you bought it straight from the factory or from a vender? What metal part on the back are you referring to? Are you saying, it was never sharpened at the factory or just not as sharp as you expected. It would be very unusual for it to come straight from the factory with just one of your issues. Have you contacted Syderco customer support or the vender? Spyderco has a very good customer support reputation, why not start there?

Which factory did you get it from? Because you'll have a tough time finding anyone else that got a dull knife out of Golden.

Welcome. Please post some pics
Re: Is this normal?
I suppose our immediate concern is that you got an authentic Spyderco. There are many Chinese knock-offs. Please post pictures and let us have a look.

Re: Is this normal?
We want to know the seller. The defects mentioned are very uncharacteristic of genuine PM2 knives. Photos would be helpful.

Re: Is this normal?
Every Spyderco knife I have ever purchased or been gifted as a new item has been shaving sharp.
Even after multiple years of hard use, many still have factory edges.

Welcome!
...Just can join the choir: Actually DULL is not normal.
Could it be a heavily used return (and the dealer did not check for use)?

Re: Is this normal?
This is exactly what I am thinking, Wartstein my friend. Great to read your posts! You bring great presence to the forum, sir.
As others have asked about this particular knife, where did the OP purchase it from?
I would hope a reputable seller would inspect an item if it was a return.
