15v Lil Native Backlock QC issues…

#1

Post by Infinite Zero »

Anyone else having any QC issues with the Lil Native Mid Backlock in 15v? I’m on my second one where the tip catches my finger when closed. The owner of the shop personally checked his stock after I sent the first back and this one was the best he had.

I really don’t want to post a complaint, and it’s killing me to do so now, but this particular issue seems to be happening more and more. I’ll be reaching out to the warranty department shortly, but I was curious if anyone’s looks better than what I’ve pictured here (alongside my S30v for comparison).

Looking at them both (especially in the view looking at the tip) you can see that the older s30v sits noticeably lower in the scales than the 15v does.

I have one arriving tomorrow. I'll check to see how it looks and report back here.

Does it only happen on your 15V model or is it happening on your S30V model as well?

Just my 15v. My s30v sits significantly lower, as do my FRN and slipit Lil Natives.

The tip on my 15V one does seem to have a little less coverage when closed than my S30V one, but it's not proud. The 15V one looks like it's been sharpened more. I cannot touch the tip with my finger no matter how hard I try.

Is there any way to polish off a little to drop the blade? If so, where would I start? I don't have any problems, but one of my friends has a native 5 in s35vn that has been sharpened enough the tip will slash him if he's not careful.

I just received my Lil' Native backlog knife in 15v blade steel. The lock seems to be perfect out of the box. No play and the tip sits low enough that I can't cut myself.

Great little knife.
