Manix 2 Salt Magnacut for trip to Greece?
I´m trying to find a reason for another knife purchase.
Going to Greece soon and i´m wondering if the Manix 2 Salt Magnacut is a good option as an EDC.
I want something sheeple friendly (bright yellow) and friendly looking with the added benefit of being beach and seawater proof.
The Greek have the same weird EU knifelaws banning almost everything if not carried for a valid reason. AI also gave me the reply that knives with a bladelenght above 100 mm (4inch) are illegal in Greece.
I will carry the knife IWB and of course won´t carry it visiting any place with metal detectors. It will be worn on the beach most of the time.
Is the manix C101PYL2 with the 89mm blade a good option?

the manix lw is always a great edc option. having a salt version should be helpful in the salty, mediterranean environment. personally, i would carry something with serrations though, especially if you're going to be carrying and using it in/on the water. another option that might be more readily accepted for that part of the world could be the ukpk salt.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

Says all knives are considered weapons and lead to legal consequences
Wikipedia sounds similar. If you don't have a reason--and SD is not a reason without a permit--the police decide how to take it, and if they decide it's for SD or attacking you're off to jail. The length limit is if you have a reason and doesn't give carte blanche to carry.

No one carries in Greece, so being yellow is meaningless. Having the knife at all stands out.

Go on vacation, have a good time, enjoy the country and people.
Leave your knife at home, you don’t need the obvious hassles it will bring.
I never understand why people use their range bag, when they go on vacation. Then end up on the news, as the confused American, sitting in a jail cell.
You have zero rights in a foreign country, they also don't take kindly, to "Americans" trying to skirt their laws. Then claiming that their rights were somehow violated.
Be smart, have fun.

There's some nice beaches in FL, SC, MS, AL, GA etc. where you can carry whatever you want, then go shoot AR's and whatnot at some nearby ranges

Hmmmm....
If you like the knife, and want to bring it, the do so.
Do bear in mind that you may loose the knife. e.g. it may get taken/confiscated.
For myself,
I have been to various parts of Greece many, many times over the years. I have always had [at least] a Spyderco with me/on me, and always had at least one back-up somewhere packed away too.
I never had any issues doing that.
The rules, or laws, you posted are interesting. Off the top of my head - I've been able to buy knives (some big ones too) in all the Greek places I've been.
IRT bringing a Manix 2 Salt to Greece, something like: "A little common sense goes a long way" comes to mind. That can be said of many things of course.
u.w.

Follow all local laws. I travel a lot overseas for work. When I go I carry a Dragonfly SE Salt H2. A lot of cutting power, won’t draw much attention and cheap enough if I have to let it go it’s not an issue.
Endura AUS-8, Manix 2 S30V, Manix 2 LW MagnaCut, BBB 15V Manix 2, BBB 15V Para 3 LW, Alcyone BD1N, PM2 Micarta Cruwear, Native 5 Maxamet (2nd), Para 3 Maxamet (2nd), Magnacut Mule, Z-Wear Mule, REC Para 3 10V Satin, Dragonfly Salt 2, GB2 M4, Pacific Salt SE H2, Dragon Fly SE H2, Endela K390 PE, Chaparral SE XHP, Shaman Micarta XHP, Bodacious SPY27, Manix 2 LW 15v, Sage 5 REX-121 LW.

I am from Europe btw. Apart from the 10 cm blade lenght the knife laws are comparable with my country. I´m used to carry knives in a non permissive enviroment.
Thank you for the advice.

Also from Europe here. As you probably know, the knife laws differ per EU country. I would A: Buy the Manix 2 salt anyway because it's a great knife, and B: In case op doubt I always carry a SAK. Non locking, small blade and people usually don't get there panties in a twist when seeing it.
