It's tough to pick because most of my favorite models are from Seki, but I prefer Golden and Taichung strictly from a manufacturing perspective. Still went with Seki, but I really do appreciate what each factory has to offer.

For me it's all about the design rather than country of origin. My favorites are split between golden and seki. street beat, police, manix xl, c95, military 2, temperance 1 & 2, etc.

Golden, by a mile, though the quality from Taichung cannot be denied.

I don't carry it much at all since the Military 2 salt came out. I always strongly preferred the handle on the military, police and manix xl, but there weren't salt versions in the past. still have 10 or so pacifics though, and I do use them from time to time.

This is too hard to pick. Honestly I like them all. Even China.
If I pick China due to their cost effectiveness I'm gonna tick off some fellow Americans.
I really like Japan.
I really like Taiwan.
Lord knows I love Italy also.
And I really like Golden Colorado.
For cost effectiveness and budget priced blades with good quality. i have to go with China.
For anything else. I am honestly stuck.
I plead the fifth.

I'm with CDEP.

Golden 100%. Helps that I am in town, so I can visit and hang out in the store and stuff. But you gotta go with the home team. If all other factory locations except one were to go away, I would pick Golden. Favorites are the PM2 Salts, Manix 15V, UKPK, and the Native Chief in Cruwear is edging up there as well, but for certain reasons.

I voted Golden , most of my favorite knives are produced there but knives from Taiwan have great craftsmanship. I do love my Seki knives old and newer models .MG2

Signature Series from Seki.

Nothing against any of the other places.

Of course Golden is the most fun to visit but I like Taiwanese produced Spyderco knives because the fit and finish is the easily the best among all of their manufacturers and they tend to get the most unique designs.

I chose Taichung as several of my favorite models are made there, including the PPT, Domino, Drunken, Sage 1 2 and 5, Spydiechef, and Caribbean.

I chose Seki city, because those are the models I like best. Here's the top few:

1. Salt 2 SE Wharncliffe
2. Dragonfly 2
3. Delica 4

On further thought. I voted China. Just for budget constraint reasons. I can't sit here and deny the quality for the price point of a single Chinese made byrd or Bow River I own.
Yes I prefer Golden, Japan, and Taiwan and own some of their products too. But I can own 3 Byrd Cara Cara's for the price of a standard Endura.
And Byrd knives don't suffer from mass counterfeiting or stock issues and being sold out in minutes and put on EBay for 3 to 5 times their retail price by EBay scalpers.
what I own so far.
1. Bow River.
2. Byrd Hawkbill.
3. Cara Cara 2 combo edge Wave opener.
