Bufford Pusser corruption
After decades of investigations by many people, including retired detective Mike Elam, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation finally, three years ago, reopened the case of Pauline Pusser and arrived at the conclusion that Bufford murdered her.
He was seen carrying her body to the car. However, because of the movie and the book Walking Tall, people would not believe he wasn't a good man. He was a criminal, who murdered a woman for money, ran a crime organization, and more. The movie was pure fiction concocted by him. Those state line businesses? They were long closed by the State before he says he began to clean them out. Movies aren't reality and many people I've spoken to who knew him said he was a bad man. I'm glad the truth is coming out.

I just dunno, I have a very hard time believing anything a State Government says who actually passed a law banning chemtrails, one of the biggest conspiracy theories in human history.
It just doesn't inspire confidence in the general intelligence of that Government as a whole.
I would have the Feds look at it all really just to be sure it's all real and factual.

Re: Bufford Pusser corruption
Some of the Pusser family moved to Illinois and opened a night club/ bar . It was a rough place , not where you would want to start trouble. It was located at the edge of a small town with a 3:00 license . At closing years ago there was an attempt to rob the club on a slow night at closing . One of the assailants was killed by a gunshot ricocheting off the top of a pool table . MG2

I remember back in the '70s when I was 9 or 10, seeing a TV commercial for the original Walking Tall movie. At the time, I assumed it would be similar to Billy Jack, but with a baseball bat. I've still not seen it, and never will.
There was a remake in 2004, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Now does he really look like someone who would be named "Buford Pusser"? The name sounds like the epitome of the stereotypical corrupt redneck sheriff that was so popular back in the '70s. Never saw that one, either.
Real life is never exactly as it's portrayed in movies that are supposedly "based on real events." Often they are virtually 100% fictional.

No surprise there.
And sadly, I'm not surprised at all that Buford Pusser wasn't the great hero that he apparently portrayed himself to be in his own story. Bad people are always the good guys in their own stories.

The 1st movie wasn't all that great, the 2nd one was much better.
He was killed before the 2nd movie came out in 1975.

Found this interesting story about Jimmy Buffet's run in with Buford Pusser.
